I could see this happening btw if boyd was interested. this is our boards way of thinking- baba diawara 4-5 million, jordan rhodes 4-5 million and kris Boyd free we would go for the cheap option.

I think this is one of those reporter tricks where they would of asked him on the spot and he can't exactly say no hees a dirty hun so therefore how do you turn down a player with his goal scoring record diplomatically? I mean I bet after it he thought to say that hees perfectly happy with our striking options or something but on the spot he hasn't said yes or no just that he would consider it, probably for 2 seconds mind.

This is disgusting. Hooper, Stokes and even Samaras are miles ahead of him in terms of quality.

I'm genuinely hoping Rangers sell Jelavic and take Boyd back on a free.

A few years ago when we needed a guy to stick it in the net, a player like him would have done nicely. But now we have Hooper and Stokes who are regular scorers.

    No, no, no.

To be perfectly honest, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. However, to sign him right away would be a mistake, perhaps a trial might be better, to have a look. For a while, people have said we need a tall, strong striker who is good in the box, Boyd proved he could be that player at Rangers. He is also a proven goalscorer in the SPL, and for free, he would certainly be worth a try. Even if he does prove to be *, we would have him on a contract, and if anyone would want to buy him, they would have to buy the contract, which would require a fee, so perhaps signing Boyd wouldn't be a bad decision. However, as previously posted, whether Boyd would want to play for us, or not is the main catalyst for the deal.
