Yep but we have to actually play well. We are still better than them and I think we will win the league. But they are improving.

Few days ago i was worried that if we had a bad result against Valencia it would kill the momentum we’ve been building, this will be the acid test on Sunday.

2-0. Burke and Weah the goal snatchers.

Worst possible game to come back to in my opinion. Don't want Boyata anywhere near the team these days but we're out of options unfortunately. Would probably put Hayes at left back. Will be happy with any kind of win and no injuries.

I'd be tempted to change a couple up here and maybe go 2 up with Burke and Edouard..

How many times did Hayes pass the ball to the opposition under little or no pressure, or hit the first man with one of his crosses, or run into a dead end and fall on his * in the first half against St. Johnstone? The few passes that he did complete in that half were backwards or sideways.

His second-half performance has been overstated. He is totally out of his depth here.

At least, Johnston offers a threat going forward.

Mikey Johnston at left back? :56:

    What's going on here?

Neither Hayes nor Izaguirre are fit to play for Celtic; Johnston is.

I know that Johnston is probably unsuited to that role, but I would rather see a competent footballer start there, than an incompetent one.

I'd like to see Edouard start up front.

You'd make him an incompetent left back by starting him there.

I think he should slot in at left back.

Why should players who have continually failed in that position start ahead of him? He may not be a left-back, but neither is Hayes nor Izaguirre.

Johnston has shown that he can, at least, do the basics correctly. If he were caught out of position, etc., at least he would have an excuse.

Ah.... I know what you're trying to say now but it's wild..

Agreed though Hayes and Izzy should be nowhere near Celtic..

Church is highly rated and a left back. If he can't get in over the above then he shouldn't be here..

Whenever we * about with the tactics, particularly away from home, we end up regretting it. Strongest team available, although I suspect there will be changes. Hayes will possibly play at left-back as Izzy looked exhausted.

    I know. :giggle1:

That is the crux of it: I would rather see a competent football player played out of position, than an incompetent football player played in position.

He should be given a chance. We need to stop rewarding failure.

Aye i know but we really struggle at Rugby Park to create chances, nevermind win..

Sinclair is on form but I'd be tempted to drop him out and go Edouard out left and Burke through the middle for his pace and power up against Broadfoot..

I may be wrong but these are the kinda game's Sinclair is nullified in and we need a bit more presence going forward..

    Forrest
    Burke
    Edouard

Weah, Sinclair and Bayo as an option off the bench..
