    It's away from home and our side are not exactly proven world beaters.

    Also on the flipside you could argue a 5 man midfield is more attacking than a 4. Just ask Real Madrid, Inter, Barca(ish), Bayern etc

    The theory being, as SAF put - you have more of the ball, more possession equals more chances created = more goals = more attacking. Nothing more frustrating than seeing us away from home struggling to keep meaningful possession.
