id rather send odea on loan rather thn sell him, so if it means he will go on loan so be it, we will need another backup though unless thompson is ready for action

Mowbray must have soething lined up, He wouldnt let players like Killen and O'Dea leave if he didnt have something up his sleeve as they are good for a turn. Would maybe be tempted to let Killen go if we got the right offer but wouldnt let O'Dea leave as I believe he should be in the 1st team squad as a regular now

Celtic have offered him a deal i duno if its been signed yet tho , he wants away on loan so maybe he might think twice about a new deal and go esle where playing week in week out .

 

Lets hope that dosent happen, heres hoping he signs the new deal and then maybe goes on loan and then comes back a even better player similar to Caddis last year

O'Dea & Killen

I know this was already a thread, but it got closed because the guy didn't have a source, so here's one..

O'Dea & Killen linked with Loan Moves, but I read someone said that O'Dea has signed a new deal with Celtic, so thats a good thing, Cos at least we will get him back & he will be a better player for having a full season of first team action :icon_mrgreen: & if Mowbray gets the striker he wants then Killen can leave permanent, Cos dont think he would be happy being 5th choice..

why would it be shooting ourselves in the foot? you don't know if anyone is coming in.

tbh neither will be that big a loss. we have Caldwell and Loovens as first pick partners. McManus would seem to be adequate cover and Mogga seems to feel that Thompson is good enough if 2 out of those 3 get injured. O'Dea would benefit from regular first team action which he isn't getting here.

as for Killen, a couple of good preseason games doesn't make him Pele. the only downside of him leaving would be that it only leaves us with 3 strikers. i hope Mogga gets in another striker before the window shuts regardless of Killen's situation.
