I know there is suggestions that Speroni has been the GK of the Championship but TBH if Westwood is as good as other reports are saying he's just behind Speroni for best GK and with him at 31 and Westie at 25 i'd take Westie all day long at 25 for GK to be as good as people are saying would be an absolute steal as he should only get keep getting better until his late 30's.

although can i just put out a word of warning to fans out there, remember last time we signed a keeper from coventry? lol

my second team is Carlisle and i've watched Westwood develop from the lad who was released by Man City as a 19 year old as they had smichael & seaman, he came to carlisle on trial, starred in the final games of the season they got promoted from the Conference, then was on the league 2 team of the season...another promotion, league 1 team of the season...lost to leeds in play-offs...sold to Coventry...Championship team of the season

plus, he's a mass going Catholic, how better to replace a holy goalie with another holy goalie!

i'd have thought his true value to be closer to 4-5m, i'd say even with a year left on his contract we'd be doing well to get him for 2m.

decent save right enough but * the memories really come back to what Boruc used to do for us and some of the saves he pulled out the bag for us, any one remember that really casual catch he done when Maldini headed towards goal from like inches away from Boruc and all does is give Maldini a funny look and continue that was great.

still though on topic saves like that are what we need with a good strong defense in front of westie he will only need to pull those out once in a blue moon

 

he is in the last year of his contract and they would probs sell him for 1m-2m or they can lose him for nothing next year? they would probs sell him

 

i hope we get him in ive been watching him since he was at carlsile utd and he has been great since he moved to coventry aswell, he is good enough to fill boruc's boots and the good thing is he is gona get better......
