I love the wee guy, but what game were you fkn watching, lol.

Unlucky? heroic? * sake he was absolute dreadful.

Woeful all-round for 1st goal, caught out more times than Janko and that was fkn hard to do.

He's been poor so far this season for me, but I'm holding out that his passion and drive will get him through an prove that last season was no fluke.

A CL qualification is not going to hide a terrible performance.

I'm glad for him though as personally at his age going into Europe will hopefully make him an even better player.

KT "That was madness but all that matters is we're through."

KT: It was nervous for everybody & must have been dreadful for the fans for the last half hour but we’re through & that’s what matters.

He done well for the first goal really though, had to run about 6 yards to almost get to it most players wouldnt even have got near it, big dafty Gordon who was 3 yards away and could use his hands didnt even get near it.

Wouldn't say he done well for the goal. Both him and Gordon should have went for the ball with more conviction. That aside though he's one of the few that had pass marks for me.

Didn't think he did too bad to be honest. Poor game by his standards but no where near some other players ratings.

    He done well?

What the * was he doing standing in no-mans land, all he did was become an obstacle in that position and actually lucky it went in as it woulda been a pk and off he went.

Like Johann said, we should have had players on the line.

As for hardly the worst, I beg to differ, outwith Janko, he was next up for the * list.

But if there is one person to let off due to the eventual outcome it is this bhoy, but he needs to up his game this season for me, been rather shabby in all honesty.

He seemed to just punt the ball a lot tonight, rather than get it down and play it about which is what he is best at. This might of been due to inexperience or nervousness.

Either way it wasn't his best game, but I'm not worried because I know what he is capable of.

Gave his opponent way too much space in this game for my liking, but indeed there were loads of other players that were worse.

Don't think he was that great.

I think that is more down to the high standards I have set for him, though.

Aye his constant punting was a bit of a frustration, just seemed to either have no confidence to carry it or didn't want to go up the pitch.

Think he was quite poor over the two legs, but we can't expect him to be class every game.

Could be blinkered with him but thought he did well considering how big an occasion it was. Stood up when he could have dived in & cleared his lines when he needed to but then again I can't see past him :smiley-laughing002:

I'm the same to be honest. :smiley-laughing002:

Thought he put in a shift. Put it this way, if Janko played the same as Tierney tonight I think it would have been a more comfortable night for us.

+1 Not a good game from him but not the worst on the park.

I like Tierney but he has definitely been off the pace a bit so far this season. Not seeing as many great defensive timed tackles or penetrating runs as last season.

But I don't believe it's any second season syndrome nonsense.

I just think that perhaps the whole stress of trying to qualify for the CL has affected his performances a bit, let's not forget he's still a very young lad at 19 and this was his first CL Qualifying run.

I'm pretty certain now the pressure is off it won't be long before we see him back to his best. He showed his quality last year consistently so I've no concerns we'll see him back to normal soon.

Let me stress, he hasn't been terrible or anything like that, but he's not quite reached the same levels as last season yet.
