  1. He's phenomenal. Mr Consistent

  2. World class player !

  3. He's like the Gary Neville of the left back world!

Aye what a wee *. So disrespectful to do that at that stage of the game, anyway.

Especially when you canny even pull it off.

  5. An absolute rock at the back. If he ever gets beat, he's the first player back on the attacker which I love. I hope he can keep up this form and stay a Celt for years to come!

  6. Had his work cut out tonight but I never get sick of saying this, what a player and I absolutely love the wee man..

  7. Meh.. I don't think it's disrespectful at all. If you pull it off you're clean through and if you don't you look like a *.

Speaking of which.. Remember that 'wonderkid' the Huns signed on loan from Spurs? Tried a rainbow flick and * it and the Huns were raving about it

  8. Wasn't impressed with him first half.. but he done really well second half.

Back to black boots, good lad :50:

    Very impressed with Tierney today.

  9. Agree with this exactly how he plays.

Heart of a lion and has a great future a head for this bhoy

Some player at this age,can only get better

  11. Had a very tough first half but much better second. Sometimes the opposing player is just simply quicker than you and you need to adapt your game which he did.

    Exactly.

Sign of a maturity way beyond his years.

  13. Nah, not for me, I love stuff like that.

Where has this pish about disrespect come from too, ffs, what cabbage brought that up. What a load of *.

Tierney slapped him about which was great, but if that was one of our players done that we'd be creaming it.

Next Messi will be showing disrespect by skinning half the team and scoring, lol, ffs.

I like to see flashes of skill as well but if one of our players was trying that at 1-0 up half an hour into a crucial qualifier I wouldn't be 'creaming' myself. Personally.

Save it for when you are cruising. Just because you don't agree doesn't automatically make it a load of *.

  15. I agree if it doesn't come off, that for me is the crux of the matter, it comes off well played, if not you look like a fandan and deserve all the stick that follows.

I just hate that when I hear people, mainly in media, including ex-players saying it probably cause they were too * to do it.

KIERAN Tierney was part of a packed Paradise crowd the last time Celtic played host to a team from Kazakhstan. That came three years ago when the Hoops overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit to beat Shakhter Karagandy 3-0 on the night and progress to the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.
Now Tierney is hoping to play his part on the pitch when Celtic take on FC Astana this Wednesday night for a place in the play-off round of the competition. The tie is finely balanced after a 1-1 draw in the first leg, although Brendan Rodgers’ side do have a vital away goal, courtesy of Leigh Griffiths’ late strike in the Astana Arena.
And Tierney, modelling the club’s new pink third kit, which fans can snap up from tomorrow, is hoping that last week’s result proves a crucial factor in Celtic’s favour come Wednesday night.
“In the first leg we went a goal down from a set-piece which wasn’t ideal for us,” he said, “but we did well to get the away goal. They’re a good team and it was a tough place to go.
“I think they’ll still play in a similar way, looking for their big striker, but that’s just what we’ve got to cope with, and I hope we can do it. It’s a hard thing to qualify. All these teams deserve to be here and they’ve got here for a reason so we just need to go out and beat them.
“It was good to get the away goal so that means they need to come out here and try to score, so we’re just looking to do all we can to win and go through.”
Tierney and his team-mates could be helped out tomorrow night by Kolo Toure, with the Ivory Coast internationalist set to be included in his first Celtic squad since joining the club just over a week ago.
The 19-year-old defender believes Celtic have acquired an outstanding player and he’s already witnessed that qualify first-hand in training at Lennoxtown.
“His experience is brilliant and even in the first few days you can tell it,” Tierney said. “He’s always talking on the pitch, always commanding, so it’s brilliant to have someone like that in your defence.
“I remember watching him the last few seasons and he’s a top, top defender, and I thought last season he was brilliant.”

I've seen a few people mention about how Kolo is a good talker, and that will benefit us massively on the pitch. It's so important - especially in defence.

Stark contrast to Ambrose, who Mjallby said was not a very strong communicator.

    I'm shocked. :smiley-laughing002:

  19. When you're on the pitch at a packed CP you can barely hear yourself think never mind hear what they're trying to tell you across the pitch.
