Honestly think he'll stay another 2 years. He's one of our own and has his head firmly screwed on, he'll know the Benefit of getting another 70-80+ games here under a good manager before leaving heavily experienced for a 21 year old defender.

Let's just enjoy him and hope everything continues on path. If he has a run of bad games we need to remember how good a player he have here.

I think he's a bright kid though, I think he'll want another couple of years to keep developing here. In my opinion he shouldn't be in a rush yet if he continues this way he'll have the top 4/5 teams in England looking making him their first choice left-back, at this stage he's probably still a bit yung.

Agree. Be here for a few years yet. He's a young kid, who's worked hard with the aim to play in the first team for the team he supports. No gonnae give that up after a couple of seasons.

Unless we force him out I think he will get a testimonial. Still only 28/29 then, plenty of time to try something new.

Sometime in the first half mate, I was thinking of watching again myself to see it.

First one to see it post the minute in here right? :smiley-laughing002:

Doubt it if he plays as well next season as he did last season he will win POTY easy and will gain a lot of interest. If someone like Everton were then to come in with £15million offering him £50k a week he'd be off no doubt about it.

not sure it's that straight forward, I think he'd stay. Would be a tough choice for any of us, even hypothetically I don't know what I'd choose but being Celtic captain would be his dream come true.

He is a genuine Tim, I don't see money being as big a factor as etching your name into Celtic history.

He will be Captain if/when we do 10iar.

So have many before him been though Hay, Macari, Nicholas, McClair, Johnston, McAvennie, McGeady. You'd imagine also that Aitken or McStay would have left if teams had come in for them. Even Tommy Burns once requested a transfer did he not in like 1980 or 1981.

Easier said than done to knock back bigger money and a better level of football when the offers on the table.

See if you are earning 20k a week (as he undoubtedly will be soon), how much more do you really need?

I honestly believe he will be here for ten at least.

Mind you I thought Neil Francis wouldn't leave so what do I know?
