I know its early days but i think this kid is genuinely world class, he ticks every box you need for a top class LB. His tackling is by far his strongest attribute he always manages to get the foot in and win the ball, stop the cross. Its almost flawless.

All his other attributes are great too decent pace, good passer, good awareness, postioning and going forward he is improving every game.

We are signing so much young talent right noght it exciting times

He's changed, started wearing flashy boots. :icon_mrgreen:

Was interesting to observe him from up close in a quieter setting, he is very vocal, keeps shouting for the ball, loves to be involved.

KIERAN Tierney insists Celtic’s rigorous pre-season in Maribor will stand them in good stead over the coming 12 months.
The Hoops have been putting in double sessions in the Slovenian sunshine under new manager Brendan Rodgers in order to ensure their readiness for the upcoming UEFA Champions League qualifiers and further challenges.
And while it’s been gruelling work for the players at times, Tierney knows they will reap the rewards over the course of the campaign
Speaking to Celtic TV, the talented teenager said: “I’m getting there in my fitness and the training has been hard – we have been doing double sessions most days so it’s great for us. We are all working hard but it’s for our benefit and it will pay off for us this season."
The left-back got more game-time under his belt in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Sturm Graz, having played the first half of the 2-2 draw with NK Celje three days previously.
“The game in Graz was a good test for us and another 45 minutes for all of us which is good for our fitness,” he said. “It was a bit cooler than the other night, which was brutal for our first match, but it will all help us.”
And now he’s focused on enhancing his match sharpness on Wednesday when the Hoops take on Slovenian champions Olimpija Ljubljana.
“We are all looking forward to it,” said the young Celt. “It’s another test for us and we need to keep the fitness up. It’s been a good trip so far and the weather has been great.”

If he can improve offensively (crossing, shooting, ability to beat guys) we have ourselves a £15 million LB. In my opinion he's as solid at the back as any defender I've seen play for Celtic.

Reminds me of Jackie McNamara, loves a good tackle and loves to get forward..

Think he could achieve more than Jackie but I see lots of similarities, apart from the side he plays..

And for me lefties are always better.. Who knows he may even be as good as I was one day..:smiley-laughing002:

So much is down to attitude, he's fearless. Just keeps going, keeps pushing no matter what. If Forrest had this guys attitude he's be a worldbeater - instead he gives up if the defender doesn't just let him run past, then spends the rest of the game camped on the touchline looking lost.

    Wee Tierney is a star.

He was fantastic against Wolfsburg, picked up where he left off last season.

That bit of play where the ball got fizzed into his feet, he killed it stone dead then flicked it with the outside of his boot and left his marker needing a ticket to get back in. :notworthy

Hate to be "that guy" but we'll struggle to keep hold of him in a few years time at this rate. He's a special talent no doubt about it.

Fearless and got ability. Should never be tamed. Let him bomb up n down the left side. If we work away on janko could have something similar down the right.
