  2. He'll be targeted, simple as that.

Even if he wasn't its highly probable he spends 50% of games on the treatment table.

    I fuccin love KT.

But he simply cant cut the demands of the game. His fitness issues dont justify his wages.

  4. If we can give James McCarthy a 5 year deal, we can risk giving KT a 2yr.

  5. Play as you go deal ???? maybe?

  6. If there's any chance for this, we have to go for it. We need another homegrown player in the squad.

Worst case he's a homegrown player who'll play the occasional game when fit and not take up a squad place.
Best case we get a world class left back

That would be ideal for us, but does that type of contract actually really exist?

  7. I thin
I think it does? If not someone from Celtic needs to read my idea on here

Celtic football club don't take the suggestion of fans on the internet

But we appreciate the suggestion anyway

  11. Surely it would be illegal in the modern world haha imagine just never playing him or a youth player on that contract (with no past career finances) and them making £0

  12. My heart says no because I don't have any room in it for sentimental signings.

Until Tierney proves he can play a regular season or two of football at a good level without any injuries, we should steer well clear. I can't remember the last time he had a consistent run of football with good performances to back it up, probably about 3 or 4 years ago.

  13. 2 wrongs don't make a right as they say. It would just be a matter of time before he was out for a long period and then we're stuck with a huge weekly outlay.

I really hope we aren't even considering it, unless he's going to play for free.

  14. Think the thing would be if he proves he can play a season or two at a high level without many injuries he won’t come to us.

  16. If he could play 60% of the time his mentality and experience would go a long way to making up for not being able to play every game. He'd take some of the load off McGregor.

  17. Guessing it would be hefty maybe 20k a game? So would be ok for KT. Less risk to club. Out injured and on a hefty salary wouldn't be good for the PLC Brigade!

  19. I view this potential signing on what I now call the CCV scale - if we can get a CCV level of games to injury ratio, which has ran to an average of 35 games last two seasons him being available, is worth him being here just because how high he raises the level.

if we can get the right deal for Tierney, 30 to 40 games out of him, he raises that level so much it’s worth it.

I don’t think we could get 30 plus games though. And I hate that’s happened to him.
