Holy *. Cant believe what I'm reading.

Even the Huns I know think he is a cracking player.

The guy was solid, Tavernier got nothing out of him all day, gets a cracking assist and had to do the job of two men on his side having GMS in front of him.

The boy shows up a lot of those other wasters, I didn't think he was too great, some of his distribution was a bit poor, but I did think probably not being helped, kinda got ripped, McKay switched wings throughout and continually beat either Tierney or Lustig.

But he doesn't shy away, and whilst slight built never shirks a challenge.

Great prospect we have in him.

If the rest of our team showed half the commitment that Tierney does, then we would be a far better team. You want your captain to lead by example, well look no further than Tierney. Doesn't look afraid to have a go at players when they aren't pulling their weight either.

It's actually a good shout as a captain, even at such a young age.

I thought he was poor, but looking at his commitment it was a Captain's performance regardless of how he was actually playing, it meant something to him, and regardless of who we were playing he is like that all the time.

Yeah I thought he was, didn't hide, looks like he never would.

I switched the game off straight after the match, I have not looked at MOTM or scores, but I'm assuming the guy McKay was probably MOTM and for me deserved it, he terrorised Tierney and Lustig.

Under a new manager, I would not be against him being the captain for a few games, to see if he can handle the responsibility. He is afterall, 18. Maybe too young, but maybe not? His attitude is right, though.

Far too young for captain yet, the lad is still learning his trade.

They had all their joy down our right hand side. I can't remember them getting much down Tierney's side though, despite him basically defending himself, with Mackay-Steven being posted missing.

For attitude and commitment he deserves to be the role model, captain involves a lot or pressure so maybe not the best idea but I wouldn't be against it. Plays for the badge

I thought a lot went up that wing, the 2nd goal certainly did also. I thought Tavernier and whoever was on the wing at the time got a lot of joy up our wings, yeah probably a bit more on Lustigs side, but certainly on the right too.

Their second goal never really come from any wing. It was more in the middle of the park, and McKay shifted it passed Brown with ease, bought himself a yard, and lashed one in.

Fair enough, but just what I remember a lot came up both wings, certainly there more dangerous attacks came up Lustig's wing more though.

Regardless I didn't think he had a good match, however showed grit and determination and that at least I can live with.

I know he's only young and that but he needs to be more vocal.
He should of been running up to GMS and screaming in his * lug hole about not doing his shift. Peter Schmeichel style :smiley-laughing002:

Hopefully next season he will grow that bit more in confidence and stature so will be able to assert himself and what he expects of his fellow professionals.
Erik done so a few time. Guy is a natural leader and his confidence in his ability is there to see. Lets hope Tierney grows into it in the same way.

He's so far ahead of everybody else at our club its mental. It's sad that an 18 year old lad is the one who is leading by example week in week out. I feel sorry for the guy, out there surrounded by * cowards.

An 18 year old that has only being playing for the first team this season showed up all our players. The fact that he was the best player for us yesterday(along with Erik) says a lot. We really do have a team of cowards. I felt for him, he was busting his gut, while his team-mates looked like they came to watch rangers play football.

Love the wee man. Him and Rogic are the only shinning lights from this season for me. Our 18 year old player has repeatedly put our "experienced" players to shame, time and time again.
