Kieran Tierney

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Mr. Slippyfist, Aug 1, 2015.

  1. No player could rationally turn down this opportunity, and no player is bigger than the club. Hope he does well and settles in London, which might be easier said than done. Just have to hope that the money is reinvested to give us a chance to push on for the ten and in Europe.

  2. Better than green and white hoops anyway.

  3. Doesn’t mean he was pushing it though, like spitting the dummy out. He wanted to go so ovbs he gonna tell the board that. He will always be a big part of the 10 if we achieve it regardless.

  4. Not overly happy about it but wish him well.

  6. Not going to be as nasty and bitter as some folk are getting, but if it was him trying to push it as is being made out, I don't really understand it.

Don't wish him any ill will though. Hope he doesn't regret it.

  7. * him. He'll regret it on his death bed.

Did they offer to match the Arsenal wages & signing on fee?

  9. Other clubs would be interested in two more years

  13. Kind of infuriates me, he said enough in the interview, should have checked this self preservation statement * at the door when he left, I hate these type of statements full of sympathy pleading *.

  14. Seeing him in that arsenal top was sickening but * it, even though I am disappointed along with everyone else, becoming a multi millionaire overnight is very tempting along with playing at the top. All we can do is wish the kid well and hope he has a great career.

  15. Predictable birthday card pish.

I wish you well, but I'm too old and cynical to fall for that old tosh.

And that will be the last ever thing I say about Kieran Tierney......thank * some will say no doubt :56:

  16. Thanks for the memories KT. I wish you all the best. For me he's in the same league as the Dembele and Van Djik for hero status, not on same level as your Browny, Larsson and Lennys, club legends

  17. Nearly greeting reading his wee statement.

As much as he was a great player, and will be missed, I'm still of the opinion that had he not lifted that megaphone and had such a relationship with the fans, and in particular the Green Brigade, then the deal would have been greeted better.

I think £25m is a brilliant deal by the club.

Good luck to him, but I won't lose sleep.
