You can think its a good deal for all concerned if you like but i dont agree..Its a great deal for him but dont see how its great for us? We are currently left with a below average LB going into CL qualifiers ..Id rather have him than the cash tbh ..Try replacing him for 25 m , see what we would get..I wonder how much we will spend on his replacement ? What do you think as you think its a good deal for all concerned ?

Well for a start he's not fit just now. Say we kept him and his injury problems continued, we'd still need to go out and sign somebody to fill that position. He was always going to leave at some point so there's no use getting upset about it.

He'll be back one day that I'm sure of known for awhile that he needed to leave to become the best player he can be. I wish for him nothing but greatness and after 1 good season down there he could easily one of the best left backs in the world.

Players cannot be diehards, logistically impossible given their job and where they need to be week in week out. Coming through the ranks you'd have your own games to play.

Also, playing professionally and even semi professionally numbs you a bit to the emotions 'fans' feel. It's a job. And 99% of those in the stands will never know how it feels. I actually lost my love and enjoyment of football whilst playing at a decent level.

In saying all that, KT, given he has played for the club he supports, is the closest thing we'll see to diehard. Does he love Celtic? Of course he does, but his experiences and circumstances are completely different to that of a ticket/merchandise buying, rebel singing, week in week out punter.

Don't ask me to explain Francesco Totti, one of a kind

Maybe its his timing thats upset people , i dont know ..But like i say , its a bad deal for all concerned apart from him and his agent..Him leaving will make our team weaker ..No upside to it when we are going for 9 ..We made him famous and a millionaire so he doesnt need any goodluck messages from me as hes had his goodluck playing for us ..I wish i could have some of his goodluck :)

Some of the comments on here are unbelievable.

Celtic have accepted a bid and told him they’re happy for him to go. He has never downed tools. He has always gave 100%. He put back operations to help us through tricky times. Nothing he done was ever just to “look” like a die hard. He 100% is.

If he isn’t Celtic through and through then no one ever will be, and no one will ever be good enough for some of our fans.

Charlie nicholas on sky sports saying he's not worth the 25m. Still got a serious chip on his shoulder about Celtic.

No, he is a celtic fan, yes. Not a diehard. A true 100% diehard would walk into lawells office saying hes no * going. He has the power to say no.

Arsenal are just saying that to cover their embarrassment. He actually shouted "up the ra" while ripping the contract up in their face.

It's all well and good saying as a fan just stay another two years win the 10 and be a legend, two years is a long long time in football and anything can happen, and really is another two years playing against spl hammer throwers going to help him develop more as a player in any way? He's a professional that wants to play at the highest level, and outside of a handful of CL games if we qualify, he's not getting that in scotland.

His injury will have brought into focus just how short a football career can be too.

    * me, did he really? He genuinely is a complete moron. I don't say that just as an insult either, he is devoid of intelligent thought.
