But, as Danny proved, Jardine was only great on one side.

If clubs aren’t willing to match our valuation of a player when we are in a strong position financially then just don’t sell.

People can say what they want. We didn’t need to sell KT and keeping players like him puts us in a much better position to actually qualify for the CL group stages which would guarantee us £25 million plus anyway and if we got a favourable group we could even make the last 16 again. That’s not going to happen anytime soon with the way we are so keen to sell so quickly to the first bidder.

Would rather we kept our best players that are contributing to our success and just get rid of all the deadwood who aren’t contributing anything.

So what do you think, honestly? He was just letting on to be a fan? Hates Celtic? Just used the club as a long, calculated plan from age 8 to get a money move elsewhere? Was wrong to interact and engage with the fans?

It's tiring because your argument has been picked apart over and over again.

The club have been angling this move more than the player. If it was down to KT I genuinely believe he’d be here for 10 and then move at 25 years old and something I heard was discussed at the beginning of discussions. Arsenal or any club were not going to pay 25m and loan back for two seasons. The fans from January last year have been discussing his value and so knew that he was a commodity that would be sold and also in that time his value has surged another 10m due to the false inflation in EPL fees. I personally believe he was a 40m player minumum.

Kieran himself has nothing to answer for here and doesn’t make him money hungry a traitor or any less a supporter. He’s been over the course since 17 time and again and has surpassed all his and the fans expectations for trophy success and commitment from the lad himself. He signed a big deal like Petrov did back a few years ago and that’s when you know the player has the club at heart. Tierney absolutely loves our club and deserves respect and credit in equal measures for his contribution. When he wasn’t available to play he stood with the fans and was hero worshipped by the fans and he took a lot of time out to show how much it meant to him. We are a selling club and he was amongst our most valuable assets. The club were always going to cash in and will continue to do so and wether the player is Portuguese, English or born and bread in Glasgow, that’s the way it goes for now. He hasn’t huffed or made demands. He has walked the line and acted like a good professional and decent person who has became the clubs highest fee ever and straight from the youth set up.

As for wearing the hoops as a supporter you are very lucky to do so and you should give your all and enjoy every minute. The club holds no obligation to further a players career because they are a massive fan of the club and the club will always suit itself. So as lucky as KT was to become a main player for our team there has been a lot of young fans left on the scrap heap by the club for not being good enough. You don’t see these lads being bad mouthed or even the club for letting so many down and usually to a depression that never leave some guys. This could have been Kieran Tierney but he made it and the club benefits hugely for it. He deserves to be welcomed home any time he’s back and I have a strong gut feeling he’ll be back to captain the hoops in a few years time. Good luck KT and hope your happy.

I honestly don’t know why he is getting any, I feel like he has been pushed out the door like MCGeady was.

I wish him all the best and hope he does fantastic and would be welcomed back at Celtic anytime.

Oh come on... comparing him to Guidetti is ridiculous, KT's been at celtic all his life.. just watch the Japense documentary about Nakamura it shows a young KT and its pretty clear he's always been celtic daft..

Wish him all the best. He will be back.

He'll be a Celtic TV commentator when he's 45 and unfurling the flag!

Disappointing, should have stayed for the 10 and still would have had his peak years ahead of him. Easy for me to say as a fan though, it's a short career and he could end up getting a bad injury so has to do what's best for him.
Would have wanted 30m at least and feel that's fair, not like we will see it reinvested anyway. Feel like the board got cartoon dollar sign eyes and a raging hard-on over the bid. Hopefully a decent sell on clause.
