I’m absolutely gutted. Thought he would be like Forrest and be here for his career

Played 4 seasons and won 10 out of 12 trophies, played in CL and EL Group Stages every season, 3 time YPOTY captained Club and Country by the age of like 19/20? left for the record fee for a Scottish player and a player from our League.

Can't feel that vibe at all man. Just can't feel it. Aye, Maybe legend's a bit strong, but I feel a lot of affection for the guy, he has been consistently brilliant for us, played a big part in what we've achieved the last few years. It's like Bob Dylan said, if you gotta go, go now, or else you got to stay all night'. I will always think of him fondly and I reckon he'll be back.

That's really what you're concerned about? If there was ever a time it was acceptable to be upset at the board and Lawwell, this is it. Without getting too sentimental, KT wasn't just a 'player' for Celtic as you've stated, he was a central figure at the club and the golden boy who embodied the success and potential of our youth program.

They let us down as fans because we were under no obligation to sell. Now to reiterate my original post since I guess you must have missed it, we sold Moussa last summer for around 20 mill and are close to getting Champions League qualification which means another 20-25 mill. All of this means the board should be under no obligation to sell our greatest asset at such a crucial time in the club's history. In this way, the board have let us down. They slapped on a firm and clear valuation to Tierney at the start of the window which I think we all can agree was quite low when compared to players of a similar ability/potential in other leagues.

KIERAN TIERNEY will finally sign for Arsenal tomorrow in a record-breaking £25million deal.

SunSport Online exclusively revealed that the Celtic left-back was heading to London on a flight from Edinburgh after the clubs agreed a fee.

Celts have negotiated a bumper sell-on clause and Tierney will sign for Unai Emery’s side subject to a medical.

The move will see KT become the most expensive Scot in history when he pens a five-year deal worth around £75,000 a week.

Tierney has made more than 150 appearances for Celts, winning eight major honours. He has also captained Scotland and been voted Young Player of the Year three years in a row.

He flew south while Celts played in Romania last night.

Manager Neil Lennon said: “I’m hearing rumours myself, but we have had nothing confirmed.”

It’s likely Tierney, 22, will be followed out of Parkhead by Scott Sinclair, who also didn’t travel to Romania amid interest from English Championship clubs.

    25m a low offer!

    It's a Scottish record fee.

You could probably buy every other team in Scotland for that money.

Still is pish money to be fair, Everton offered £30million for Iwobi off Arsenal whos dreadful and barely a player.

Would be like someone offering us £5million for Jozo and we turn it down then sign someone the quality of Van Dijk for £3million.

I don't have anything nasty to say about Tierney if he decides to leave, but if I were him I wouldn't be leaving Celtic to go to Arsenal, especially not at this point in time. Maybe I'd be thinking differently if I were actually in his shoes and this wasn't a hypothetical situation I'm imagining, but I don't think so.

If he does go it will be disappointing, also because of the time it's taken to complete. Leaves little time for us to use the money to seriously strengthen, assuming that is the plan.

I’m aware of that. Wasn’t comparing the leagues. I was comparing the ability of the two players and making a point that £25 million for Tierney in reality should have been a lot more.

When you see players like Van Dijk, Robertson, Wanyama, Ryan Fraser etc excelling in the premier league I think that is more than enough evidence that we as a league should be demanding a lot more in transfer fees despite what any arrogant * think about Scottish football.

In reality though other clubs in Scotland can’t really play hardball as much as we can. We didn’t need to sell Tierney and I still think we should have held out for more.

He was a fantastic player, if he wasn't we wouldn't all be a tad emotional about him going.

But calling him a legend is just wrong.

You'll get some letting on they never thought he was that good and stuff like that. Just pettiness, though.

Forrest and McGregor embody the success of our youth program too. Johnston, Dembele and Okoflex among others embody the potential.

Champions League qualification has * all to do with KT, he's injured and couldn't play even if he wanted to :56:

All players have a clear valuation on them. Except Morelos 'cause his is fake
