I dont think hes gonna go now.

Not getting my hope's up either way but it just seems like the rags are regurgitating the same * constantly and running out of ideas.

The injury will be a concern for them I'd say.

I think they'll move again deadline day. If it's one cent less than Pete asked for i have every confidence he would tell them to do one. My main issue is the price that has been set, if indeed there is one.

They always do that, though; because they rarely know anything much more than we do. I really think no one can call this right now. I won't be surprised either way at this point.

Did anyone else think the wages a player was on/offered were directly linked to the transfer fee? Was surprised to read Arsenal are paying Pepe £90k a week when they paid £72m for him. It's a good amount of money but if I had to guess I would've said a player that expensive must be on £200k at least, I mean every other player in world football costing more than £70m must be on more than £90k.

Anyway, just made me wonder what they'll be offering KT. I just assumed they'd be offering him £100k but I must have the green tinted glasses on.

Maybe it's a case of EPL teams wanting to wait a year to see if the player is indeed the real thing then offering a new contract?

They do, but right now it seems more like desperation than ever before tbh.

Has felt weird his silence and absence this summer, just in general. Suppose we're just too used to his holiday snaps wi the hoops on. Like he's already gone.

    Be like a new signing...

If that's the deal breaker this window then it's an even bigger concern for us as he must be way off even what we're being fed..

What would be the point in that? :97:

It wouldn't give me any satisfaction, because I don''t dislike the guy; it wouldn't convince him of the validity of my points; and it would completely ruin any chance I ever had of some day getting him drunk enough to share my bed. :fear:

NEIL LENNON has revealed Kieran Tierney could be just ONE WEEK away from returning to action — he just doesn’t know where.

Arsenal are believed to be weighing up a £25 million bid for the Celtic and Scotland ace.

The Gunners have until Thursday’s 5pm English Premier League deadline to agree a deal for the left-back.

Lennon still hopes KT goes nowhere. But he shot down speculation talks over a deal had stalled because the 22-year-old was facing another two months out.

Asked if Tierney’s injury issue could be holding up a potential transfer, Lennon said: “I don’t think so, no. He’ll be fit in a week or two.

“He still has some adductor pain but the pubic problem is starting to settle and he’s over the double hernia.

I know there’s talk of him being out for another eight weeks, but that’s nonsense.

“I don’t know where that’s come from because that’s certainly not the case at all.

Listen, he’s missed the whole of pre-season but I’d say he’s more or less a week away from getting back on the grass and getting back integrated to the training.

“You can add another week or ten days on top of that before he’s ready to play.”

Arsenal have already had two offers for Tierney KO’d by Celts who are standing firm and refusing to budge over their £25m valuation. Lennon added: “We were talking about it on the plane over here as it’s all gone a bit quiet at the minute — which is surprising for me. It may or may not happen now.

“I know these deals can get done at a minute to 12 — it could get done in the afternoon or later in the evening.

It’s just quiet at the minute with no new information on it, as far as I’m aware.”

Lennon also insists Celtic’s signing plans aren’t dependent on Tierney being sold.

He added: “I don’t think so, no. We have money to spend if needed. If we keep Kieran then it’s brilliant because we’ll be keeping a top-quality player.

“It’ll be a case of getting him back on the pitch doing what he does best. We are doing some great things without him, so when he adds to what we have already got we’ll be even better.”
