If he wants to leave he should come out and say it, he’s not just gonna yes to arsenal because the club have accepted a bid.

Again, he has 4 years left on his deal. For the money being offered we would be better off keeping the player, we’re only forcing him to stay if he wants to leave and that’s my problem the fact he hasn’t or the club haven’t told us whether he wants to or not.

Who gives a * if he stays another 2 years and then goes and we get less, we’re not gonna reinvest every cent we get into a replacement and everyone knows that. I’d rather another two years of him at left back than the club getting 20 million now which won’t be spent.

Rodgers went on and on about how Celtic was the club for him and how much he loved being here and what it meant to him, KT has done the exact same thing and looks like he’s about to jump ship the first chance he gets to go to England just like Brenda.

But you don’t know if he wants to leave yet. The clubs might come to an agreement and he might say no. He might not be able to agree to the terms of his contract. I’d imagine he’s going to want money, but more than that he’s going to want the guarantee of first team football. It’s such a big opportunity for a Scottish player of his age, anyone that holds him back from that is selfish.

What if we keep him for 2 years, which is my ideal situation, but his injuries get worse and he never gets that move. All this will be playing through in his head. He’s just been a key part of a treble treble. If he wants to move on now he’s going to get the blessing of most fans. If you want to compare him to Rodgers you can, but I can’t understand why you can’t see how different the situations are.

Very true our crabs in the bucket mentality that fans have for the game here isn't healthy either how do we expect foreigners to value our league when half of us wrote it off... Accept it really

I don't think it is quite that simple. Ideally he will stay for the next 2 years and play a massive role in the team doing the 10, however those deciding on the transfer will be looking at his pelvic issue and trying to decide if keeping him is too much of a gamble. What if he stays but the injury flares up, he is unable to play for the majority of those 2 years and then goes for a pittance because his stock has fallen and he is deemed too much of an injury risk?

I don't know how likely that is, as we don't know the extent of his issue, but they will.

And just for the record I still think he will be a celtic player when the window shuts.

It would be funny if they finally offered £25million and he knocked them back and professed his love for all things Celtic.

the fact that no other club is showing an interest is keeping the transfer fee down , much to arsenals favour . If Tierney moves to them it will surely only be for money , sad . Mid table club will win * all , surely he,s better than that , not the right time for a move .. IMO .

I very much doubt it would just be for money. He'll be thinking about his own development and how having to deal with a better class of opposition on a much more regular basis will improve him as a player.

In all seriousness when did arsenal become some mid table club? Easily top 6. Yes * many many chances for top 4 last season, still was 5th. They are not southampton etc who our players normally go to. Still one of the biggest teams in england. You * your chance at arsenal and you can easily sign for mid table clubs.

If it was on me, and the player wanted to go/there was an agreement behind the scenes I'd be looking at the £20m on the nose, and raiding their youth teams for a LB and RB in the 19-21 age groups. Arsenal have won * at that level I think, and it would help our position no end... if we got the equivalent of about £26m upfront, with about 15% on the sell on, while undoing some of our defensive degradation, I'd be ok with that.

Alternatively, if there's no reason to sell at all, I'd tell them to ram their cash and keep KT here

Arsenal aren't a mid table club let's not get silly. They aren't what the were 10 years ago but they're still a big name with some good players.

If he goes there, it will be with a view to a moving on to one of the top teams in the next few years. The 100k a week that he'll earn in the process will be a nice wee bonus.

Celtic captain Scott Brown is hopeful Kieran Tierney will remain with the club this season.

Arsenal have had two bids rejected for the Scotland international, including a £25m offer, but the Premier League club are expected to return with a third bid.

Sky Sports News understands Arsenal are increasingly confident a deal can be agreed for Tierney before the transfer window closes on August 8.

However, Brown is hopeful Tierney will remain with Celtic as they look to win a record-equalling ninth consecutive Premiership title.

When asked how Tierney was coping with speculation surrounding his future, Brown said: "He's fine, he's just come back from an injury.

"He's looking forward to trying to get himself back into training and get himself back on the pitch as well.

"He's been a phenomenal player for us for the last five seasons.

We'll just wait and see what happens but here's hoping he stays. As it stands he's a Celtic player and I'd love him to stay because of what he's done the last five seasons."

Brown added: "There's always going to be speculation on top-quality players and that's what Kieran is.

"There will always be speculation whether he goes through this window to the next window, it will always be there.

"That is what we expect when the team is doing so well and we're doing well in Europe, and he's performing well in Europe.

"It will always be there or thereabouts."

Problem is, it seems like Napoli have given up, so there isn't a buzz around him. Arsenal are deliberately being cheeky because they appear to be the only club after him....

Historically, coming up here and picking up players has always been done on the cheap. Im sure that fact hasn't gone past Arsenal and they think just because its the Scotland you can take actual value and half it.

that bank balance number makes sure they board all get bonuses and the shareholders get a dividend

with the demise of that mob the board set about doing enough to just keep us ahead but the gap looks to be shrinking imo, i do think they are cheating again but we seem to be allowing them to get closer to us for some reason

are we looking to create competition where there was not a lot in order to make the league and cups more saleable ??? maybe i think but we'll never know just suspect

Kieran for the love of * and celtic stay for another season

Arsenal just spent £72m on Pepe. Either they put £50+m for Tierney on the table or * off.

They paid 20 million up front and the rest is in instalments over the next few years. I don’t know why but Lille have bent over and let Arsenal take them for a ride.
