  5. I think the comparison is unfair, mate. At the very least, I try to offer my opinion. Crow just spouts out articles like a * word generator..

  10. The fact that Tierney is 1/9 to leave and 5/1 to stay tells me it's already a done deal

  11. Bristol City have just sold a defender Ive never heard of to Brighton for 25m, while we're about to sell one of our crown jewels for the same price to one of the richest clubs in the world. Farcical.

Lawwell will be desperate for this deal to go through for a variety of reasons.

Big influx of cash, Tierney is the 3rd highest earner on our wage bill (Boli will be nowhere near it), pushes the ceiling of Scottish Transfers up a notch again, promotes our academy globally to prospective young players.

25 mil for one of our academy players was always gonna be a no brainer for the Board, i just hope there is no interest in CalMac.

  19. Although 25mill is massively undervalued in this market. The real price is what a club is prepared to pay. If we sell him this window it appears the only club interested is arsenal. The board appear to have set the fee at 25mill. A fee that was likely to attract interest while also being a decent amount of money to the club. We can all say he is worth 50mill but unless we have a club willing to pay that its pointless . Personally I think Tierney has carried himself impeccably in all this and Celtic fans should be proud of this considering how players behave today. He will become the biggest transfer from the club that has names like vvd and dembele on it. We all knew this day would come but it's a great reflection on youth development for the club. Hopefully many more can come through and have a similar impact. No player is bigger than the club.

John Bhoy79 Head in the clouds. Mind in the gutter.

In the current football financial climate it's less than his worth though. Worse players(some much worse) are going for similar amounts if not more. If we are led to believe one thing regarding PL it's that he's a tough negotiator who knows the price of a pound yet he's seemingly willing to let our biggest asset leave for less money than the overrated, injury-prone, Tyrone Mings.
