    If true how much of that 20mil you think we will spend considering we still have the Dembele money, sell on from VVD and Rodgers cash? Or will pedro make it disappear again?

    The fact that he has told us he “wants to leave” if that’s even remotely true leaves a bitterness in me sorry but you don’t ask to leave Celtic ahead of 10 in a row and as a 22 year old Celtic fan who could stay another 2 years then move to better than Arsenal ffs

    * that!

    It would be a 25 million quid feather in the cap for Lennoxtown but the way the Market continues to ramp up fees it could end up looking as bad as the VVD and Dembele fees now do when they’ve shown how good they actually are within a season or 2.

    ARSENAL must stump up an extra £2million to tempt Celtic into selling Kieran Tierney, according to reports.

    The Gunners have had two bids booted out for the Scotland international, with Celts in no rush to sell the left-back.

    And Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims both clubs are wrangling over just £2m before a deal will be agreed.

    He told the Transfer Show: “I was speaking to someone who is involved in the negotiations and they were pulling their hair out.

    They say this deal is at a standstill because of just £2m.

    “That is all that’s stopping it from happening – Arsenal and Celtic arguing over £2m.

    To put that into context, £2m is about the cost of a house near Arsenal in the north of London.”

    Arsenal boss Unai Emery is eager to get the transfer over the line before England’s window shuts on August 8.

    Parkhead chiefs want £25m for the academy graduate, but the London giants are unwilling to pay the entire fee up front.

    Tierney is under contract until 2023 after signing a six-year deal in 2017 – and that leaves Celtic in a strong position.

    The 22-year-old is currently injured due to an ongoing osteitis pubis problem and it remains unclear when he will return to action

    The number has been mentioned so much and became so ingrained as part of the story, it's as if getting the majority of that up front is now some sort of "victory". It's far, far too low a fee in the current market, though.

    Yes, he'll be a massive miss for years to come. No point pretending just because he's (probably) leaving.

    Mcburnie going for 20m, this is a * who can't get a game for Scotland ahead of Eamon brophy ffs.

    What are we playing at, whether we get the 25m upfront or in installments across 5 years it's a * deal for us and we're massively underselling ourselevs again.

    We're in such a strong bargaining position here aswell it makes it all the worse.
