What was important was playing the best players in their best positions.....simple enough you'd assume but a lot of managers cant / dont make simple decisions and indeed make football over complicated

That was the 2nd bid Naka

    So far it has been

    £15m
    £18m and £7m add-ons

Unless they come up with £25m cash and a sell on Celtic won’t let him go anywhere!

  4. I think there was another bid...like £15m and £10m add-ons- and it came before the 18/7 one?

Napoli will be waiting too see what (if anything) we accept from Arsenal. I think what they mean is that they'll top any package offered to the player.

  7. This 3rd bid will be the final one, and unless the arseholes are ready to fork up it will fail too.

I hope this is sorted soon. I don't want him to leave honestly but IF it does end up happening I hope it's sooner rather than later because it'd be really annoying if it was an 11th hour type deal (and knowing Arsenal it could be). Or if he's staying then I hope either he or the club can put it out there and end all the speculation once and for all so we can just focus on what we want to do.

I can sort of get why he would consider the move but then again if he stays a couple more years at least cements his status as a legend and then who knows which clubs might be interested in him? Maybe ones that are actually capable of competing for the top trophies and not a club who're struggling just to get back in the champions league with absolutely * all money compared to their rivals.

Anybody with a bit more knowledge on the physio side of things know what, if any, long term issues his injury could cause? Is it the type of thing that once it's fixed it's fixed, or does it end up recurring?

The info in the press on these sort of things is usually all over the place, remember a few years ago when Brown was playing through injury they kept reporting it as a long term 'degenerative' issue and some people were worried that was him basically finished, but then once he actually had time off and recovered he was playing like it never happened.

CELTIC manager Neil Lennon insists the club are comfortable with their stance on Kieran Tierney after rejecting a second bid from Arsenal.

The Hoops are thought to value the left-back at £25million with the structure of the latest bid failing to tempt them to sell the Scotland international.

Lennon said: “The club’s valuation of Kieran has not been met and until then we don’t have a discussion to make.”

When asked whether he expected Arsenal to return with a third offer, Lennon said: “I don’t know what Arsenal’s financial state is.

I know what ours is and we are quite comfortable with the situation at the moment.

“There has been a second bid, the bid has been rejected and it’s as you were.”

  16. Reiterating some of his previous statements- the situation hasn't changed one bit. We're not choking to sell Tierney, and stand firm. Arsenal are spreading their funds on multiple fronts, and they'll have to make decisions on what players to drop interest in.

If Arsenal want or anyone want him they need to pay the cash.

    Simple.

Will a straight 25 up front make the club ask him what he wants to do?? Are we all still guessing here. Would they still insist on add ons on top.? Personally, think that figure is still way too low but that's just me. Was never fussed with arsenal either way but gone right off them after this. Now we know what it must be like trying to do business with us:56:
