I get what you're saying it would tick a lot of boxes for all parties involved but we have a very strong position here. He's got a long deal, wants to play for us and is unlikely to be rushing to leave.

I think we can hold out for a more substantial offer, especially in today's market. Qualification to CL is vital in that respect, it eases the need to sell and is another reason for him to stay here.

 

Even if a £25m valuation is the ceiling for a player playing in Scotland (it was thought to be £10m or £15m a short time ago), we could always settle for that two years from now.

 

What if his injuries become an issue, the way he's plays and the way we've abused his desire to play every game may have taken its toll.

There shouldn’t be a valuation ceiling for our players just cause we play in Scotland. We perform regularly in Europe and have a team full of internationals. I feel we are being mugged of regularly with our transfers.

You could argue that 25 is raising the ceiling....as it's 5 mill more than our other higest ever received fee..

 

If the English are so arrogant and ignorant that they think that the Scottish Premiership is incapable of producing world-class players, after the successes of Robertson and van Dijk, I hold little hope that Tierney will change their opinion.

It is high time that Scottish clubs demanded more than the crumbs from England's table for our best players: McGinn is being linked with a £50m move to Manchester United after a season in the English Championship; he is much the same player that left Hibernian for Aston Villa a year ago.

 

If KT were to move to Arsenal for 25M, he would become a 50M+ rated player the very next day.

I agree with what Suttton said: Tierney should be insulted by Arsenal's offer.

If I was KT I'd genuinely have no interest in moving.
