Sounds really promising & that’s from someone in the know, genuinely.

“If there is a time for Kieran to go it will be up to Celtic, Peter Lawwell and the board”

    Shifting focus to the board

I know we done it with Dembele but really can't see the board being daft enough to sell KT last minute unless we already have another left back signed.

I think KT and a few of the bhoys were inspired by Lenny's appointment, looked like it in that game. Albeit as caretaker of course.

I don't think KT is thinking Emery can improve me as a player mate . However if he is then maybe he is adding up how likely is he to really develop a relationship with him.

I think he'll stay, and would only go if the board told him they want the cash in which case I wouldn't blame him for telling them to GTF.

Emery wanting him would be a good start, I guess.

By the board accepting a bid that meets their valuation, tells KT they want the cash.

    Then it becomes his decision.

Well if the valuation is £40 million fair enough, anything less is a disgrace.

    True.

As above, I think £25m is a ridiculously low valuation for a potential future captain who could lead the team being a key player for the next few years and still command a big fee later down the line. Short sighted to accept that sum imo.

I dont see why we should even put a valuation on him.

Just see what they offer. His agents comments are slightly encouraging for me.

Would rather have him there in the team to get us £40m from CL qualification every year, than cash in for a just over half that, just to balance the books.

He's worth more to us than £25m, and he would be to Arsenal or Napoli if he fulfills his potential.

    Unrealistic..

We know how good he is and he has shown up well in Europe for us at times, but has also been part of some absolute CL hammerings.

Its difficult for a club looking in to get a barometer of how good he is, it's not as if they can look at a sustained European run or watching him excel for the National team, as Scotland have been pish. Only the SPL dominated by us is a guide..

I love him and believe he can be better than Robertson, but the £25m, for me is realistic.

He was injured most of last season too mate, that is a concern.

It makes it tough, as its KT and we're discussing him leaving.

£25m is fair on us and fair on him too. Arsenal or Napoli would be getting a bargain if he achieves what we know he can, but he is unproven at the highest level through no fault of his own.

    How so?

Wan-Bissaka and Targett have just moved for a combined total of £57m. English clubs pay over the odds for English players, granted, but Tierney is one of the best young left-backs in the world; he has the potential to be world-class; and he has four years left on his contract. £25m for a player of his ability and potential in those circumstances, in this day and age, is derisory.

He will be worth at least £25m in two years' time, barring disaster, so we have no good reason to sell him for that amount this summer, unless Tierney is agitating for a move.

We all know that Tierney would take to a top-five league like a fish to water - just like van Dijk.

If Arsenal want to wait for him to 'prove' himself at a no-mark Premier League club before paying a premium for him, let them.
