Kieran Tierney

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Mr. Slippyfist, Aug 1, 2015.

  1. Celtic’s latest signing Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo insists he didn’t ask if he was going to be first choice left-back !!

  2. Tbf Arsenal are a decent enough club in English terms.

Ok their stadium is a bit corporate, but at least they're not right-wing, British nationalist vermin like Cheslea or West Ham.

Arsenal, like ourselves, would be very anti-monarchy, anti-imperialist, pro-IRA, pro Palestine, pro-LGBT, pro-Corbyn, pro-Cuba, pro-Basque and Catalan liberation. In other words, they've always sided with the good guys.

So I can see why Tierney could be attracted to them.

3 million quid on a back up left back just isn't Celtic. But neither, as of late, is signing a replacement at the start of the window.

    * knows.

Wouldn't sell him for any price until he requests to leave. He's the heart of the team and you cant put money on that, the link between the pitch and the terraces. Wouldn't even want 30m even if the new boy was twice the player, Tierney is the kind of * I want to watch playing for Celtic.

  5. Seriously doubt any of that matters, he's a professional, if he decides he wants to leave and a club slap down 50-100k a week, he's not going to stop and ask what they think about palestine before he signs.

  6. A fair point.

    Perhaps.

  7. In all seriousness though, and I say this while actually finding Arsenal one of the more tolerable clubs in the Barclays Arab/Oligarch money league, he wouldn’t really fit there.

It’s a drab place with a fan base comprised entirely of prawn sandwich munchers, so far removed from the raw passion and energy of Celtic Park. Tierney’s all about the fire and would stand out a mile. A huge fan favourite very quickly I would imagine (perhaps even going as far as to sing about him, on the rare occasion they’re not filling up on the aforementioned prawn sandwiches), but that level would of desire would be completely alien in the playing squad. They’re full of wage thief’s happy to scrape European football and occasionally make a run at the league cup.

  8. Absolutely very little atmosphere at Arsenal, falsified attendance figures making attendances seem a lot bigger than they really are and I doubt if Tierney would be bothered with... very anti-monarchy, anti-imperialist, pro-IRA, pro Palestine, pro-LGBT, pro-Corbyn, pro-Cuba, pro-Basque and Catalan liberation....for * sake he's a * footballer........

Remember, this is a player, who when asked at a Celtic supporters' function in Donegal just two years ago, what he would have been if he had been brought up in the 80s, answered: in the resistance with my comrades trying to liberate Ireland from British imperialism.

Tierney is made out of far superior stuff than your average * on the street, or even your average brain-dead footballer. This is a boy who would do time for the struggle.

He's our Mandela, our Che, our Connolly. We should be in no rush to see him go.

Better tune into that tragic Arsenal Fans TV over into the next few weeks then.

A group of pound shop Stormzys all huddled round a camera callin' on all their "bluds" and "mandem" to launch a jihad on Oor @CookieMonster

  11. Mate the guy is first and foremost a footballer, can you post proof ie a link of what he allegedly said at the Celtic supporters' function in Donegal. If he had been brought up in the 80's are you seriously asking us to believe he would have been in the "resistance".......and not playing football ??? What next a docu drama on KT " He wore the green and white " does KT walk on * water

Not been in Spurs new ground yet, but The Emirates is the best stadium in England in terms of design for me..

It is however expensive as * and the fans have no clue how to make an atmosphere. Their songbook consists of about two songs on a good day...

  13. Exactly.............

  14. I didn’t say would, I said could. And Peter Lawwell certainly could.

That matters not, unless you don't trust Lenny to back him if he stays?

  17. Now if it was Highbury back in the 70's 80 ' 90's thats a different scenario

  18. What am I? Your * servant? Go Google it for yourself. It's all over YouTube.

Maybe he was just giving it bravado, but I've no reason to doubt him.

    Don't be ridiculous.
