Messi is a bit different. He’s playing in what I believe to be the best league on the planet, the players that are moving there proves that. They are always going to be sniffing around the Champions League too. We won’t.

I believe he’s two title wins away from cementing himself as someone we will sing about for generations.

You’re right about their being no right or wrong path. Which is why I believe that if he leaves this summer it changes nothing about my opinion of him. He was an integral part of the treble treble and unlike our manager, he saw it out. I’d like him to see out the 10, I think as a Celtic fan and on a romantic level that’s the ideal situation. But I don’t see the point in him spending his entire career here. Sure it would be great, but in the modern game I’d love to see him go and do what Van Dijk has done.

Imo I dont think Van Dijk has became a better player, playing for Southampton then Liverpool I dont buy into all that "makes u a better player playing in a better league" (also think the £PL is 3rd best in the world not much between them an Serie A for 4th atm) it's just u get noticed more

It isn’t though. Messi is at the highest level of the game and trying to better every footballer that has ever lived. Tierney is too good for Scottish football and will never reach his full potential if he stays he’s for his full career.

We don’t play for 4 major honours at all. Even if you see the League Cup as a ‘major’ honour, we don’t play in Europe to try and win either the CL or the EL. As a club our aim is simply to get there for the money. We don’t aim to be competitive and challenge at all.

He’s part of the most dominant domestic side Europe has ever seen. An invincible, treble treble winner. It’s an indelible mark he’s left.

I said it would be great if he stays. But he won’t, so I’d love to see him reach the very top of the game which is something he won’t do here as there’s a ceiling in the Scottish game.

When did all this if you love them let them go pish start. We as supporters should want our best players to stay here no matter what. Not this go on and live your dreams elsewhere patter. If we don't provide a good enough enviroment for them to want to stay we should strive to and I definitely won't be wishing our players away. * Arsenal, they'll win * all anyway.

Aye it's better for us as a club if our player's go on and do well in the bigger league's for obvious reasons but I'm the same.......I don't overly care once they leave..
