Aye, Dixon had his uses but defensively wasn't all that good. Robertson is comfortably a few levels above him, more than a few.

I'd say Tierney is as well, wee * solid.

I can see him forcing his way into the Scotland first team. Defence is king for Scotland and this boy lets nothing by him.

I think Tierney is a better defender than Andy Robertson tbh, Robertson is probably better going forward.

I could see Tierney getting played at Right Back or even Centre Back or Robertson moving into midfield

Tierney would be a horrific centre half

He wouldn't be the best to be honest if played in a different team under a different system. He fits them perfectly but would be better in his natural role for another team rather than in defense.

Robertson will be first pick, his left foot is just too good to leave out, Tierney will learn a lot and gain good experience fighting for a place. Shinnie can play Rb and should be ahead of Hutton and Whittaker.

Yeah I do think that myself and would prefer if only one plays at a time if both play who switches position. Also Russell Martin was a RB before playing for Scotland

Aye, he's the best defesive midfielder in the world for me and showed that at the World Cup.

He's perfect for Barca but I was making a point really, it's about systems that suit your players, isn't it?

I really don't know who is Scotlands best RB sometimes I think it's Paul Caddis. Other times I'm not sure if Ikechi Anya would be any good as he usually plays LB/LWB for Watford

I mentioned in the other thread that it has to be down to the player. He must not be committed to Scotland or feel Scottish..

Caddis has long been due a call. In and around the squad at least..

Tierney. Excellent wee man and well deserved. Even if it's just to give Wgs a closer look and be around the squad. Robertson is a way in front in my opinion (heard during the Arsenal game he was being rested and United are linked with him?) but the wee man is class and on the right track..

    Well in..

    Good.

From what we've seen of him there is no danger of this going to his head, either. Even if he doesn't play, it should be a big boost just to be involved.

The key for Celtic now is to look after Tierney. I know he got a new contract last Summer, but I think the club would be wise to revisit that as early as this Summer.

He loves the club, and we've been guilty of not rewarding our own youngsters enough in the past.

    Delighted for him.

I reckon he has a great career ahead of him.
