IF he does go it isn’t because he isn’t a real fan, or anything like that. Football players want to prove themselves at the highest level and despite the silly comments about Arsenal, they remain one of only about fourteen clubs who could realistically win a Champions League in the foreseeable future.
I would also expect him back once he has proved himself.

I think you are right. I hope he decides he wants to stay for the 10 first; but if he feels he needs to leave now to reach his potential, I think his parents will have to advise him to do that, Celtic fans or not.

He has a gift to play football. Not to develop that talent into the fullest form possible would be a far bigger sacrifice than we have any right to expect from him.

If the Board will blink at 25 then he'll be offski, also think another few clubs will join the bidding, KT is a fantastic talent and clubs know it.

    £19m plus add-ons * off.

    £25m should be starting price!

Nah, £25m upfront is not enough. Anything less than £30m plus add ons and we've sold him on the cheap.

And if it happens, every penny needs to be re-invested in the team this season.

Was about to say Napoli couldn’t afford him then went for a swatch at their transfers and they’ve spent abnormally big over the past 2 seasons when historically only guy I could think of they splashed out on was Higuian.

Still though, he’d have to be within their top 5 incoming transfers for us to entertain it.

This will all come down to the player himself. If he wants to stay then he will. If he wants to go we will get a very decent fee plus add ons when he inevitably moves on to bigger things again.

I'd love him to stay for the 10, but I dont want him doing what McStay did and not take a step up in league quality to prove how good he truly is.

I dunno if I'm in the minority here, bit I don't think I'd be THAT upset if he left....especially not if it were a BIG fee.

Now dont get me wrong I'd love him to stay, but I've seen people throwing around the term "Legend" in regards Tierney - Tierney has done nothing of note to a level where he can be regarded as a legend. Being part of the Treble Treble winning team is of course legendary, but he personally...no.

He's hopefully got an exceptional future ahead of him, whether it be with us or someone else, but he's certainly not irreplaceable.

Not so sure about that logic tbh, there’s a precedent in McGeady. The club wanted the 9.5 million and made that clear to him so he went knowing full well the club wanted him away at that figure.

If Celtic accept a big bid, it alters everything. They’re basically saying to KT they’d prefer the money over him and that’s personally the only way I see him leaving this Window.

He isn’t going to want away or request a transfer IMO. Not just this window but any window, he doesn’t have it in him.

I'd rather he stayed. 20m, 25m, 30m makes no difference, we won't see it being reinvested into the team.

    Dembele 19.75m
    Armstrong 6m
    Van dijk sell on 6m
    Snakey Rodgers 6m

    Where has it all gone?

My personal opinion is that I genuinely don’t think Tierney himself would want to leave at this point and there is absolutely no evidence to suggest otherwise. However, there is a chance that he could feel under pressure if he is pushed out the door by the board. That is the problematic bit for me.

KT is already an iconic figure at Celtic, on and off the pitch.

Selling him risks driving a bigger wedge between the board and it’s fans.

No offer is worth destabilising that.

Up the kids money, he deserves it

    I would say so too.

Not confident on him staying at all. Will be interesting to see if any comments come out from the club (Lennon etc) over the coming days.

Just seems as though its inevitable that asking price will be met. Then it's up to the player..

Isn't he only a season into a 5yr deal. And did nothing last year to put his value to us up... besides which, we can't afford to increase every players wages when the occupants of the Monopoly Money League come calling... if they want him, and he wants to go, he's gone... we've no leverage over those kinda terms, conditions and profile

It’s an insult to the boy that people think he’s leaving for money. You always try and get the best possible deal. He’s not going to say to Arsenal to pay him what he’s on the now is he?

Arsenal will provide him everything that he needs to prove himself as one of the best full backs on the planet, and as much as I’d love to see him stay, I think he’ll be for the off.

We’ll do the 10 and more without him anyway so I don’t see the big deal. Celtic is far bigger than one player and always will be. If we can lose Henrik Larsson we can lose anyone.
