Obviously I can't speak for Jax, who must have his own reasons for his opinions, but I genuinely think one reason a lot of people are assuming that it must be about money and that anyone would take those kinds of figures and a different group are trying to convince themselves that he was never a real fan a la Rodgers is that it hurts less.

It hurts to think that a diehard Celt would choose to leave the club for Arsenal, because in the SPL in the current climate we simply can't offer him a chance to achieve his full potential and they can. It hurts a lot, but I think it's the truth.

    Greedy little * my *..

It's a much higher standard and he'll have seen Robertson. He's also been * with some pretty serious injuries in what is a very short career..

We all want the fairytale ending with him leading us to the 10 but it was always gonna be hard. It's * but this is the life of a selling club..

I'm certainly no gonna rip in to KT and make out he's a fraud. Utter bollocks don't give a * what you say you know it as well..

The next 2 years aren’t a certainty though. As i said earlier literally anything can happen, lose the league/lose form/bad injury/falls out of favour etc.

Kenny stayed longer than he needed too.
He wanted to go before & agreed to stay on. He gets way too much stick in my opinion.

The same way KT would still get stick if he left after we got the 10. Some people just don’t understand.

Mate, I know it feels like such a kick in the guts, but as someone once said to me when I had a meltdown: log off for a while. Whether it takes a few hours or a few days, you're going to really regret some of this when you calm down.

The notion that we'd all do the same in his position..

I don't know all the facts. If he's been asking to go. If the board are looking to cash in due to his hip problems or whatever..

I'd be a one club man if I had it my way..

It’s all speculation at this point we’ll need to see how it pans out.

Scenes when he signs a new 4 year deal with us :fear:

All things being equal, most people wil prefer more money. But sometimes you have to choose between values and not everyone will have money as their top value. That's all I'm saying, mate. Sorry if it seemed I was giving you heat.

That’s all i was getting at mate, mibee i was being a bit gung ho saying everyone would take the money, but imo the vast majority would. Perhaps even the most diehard when it’s laid out in front of them in black and white.

If Tierney was sitting on the fence and at a crossroads in his life and career and came on here to see the general consensus, we'd push him across the border in no time. Pathetic, spoilt and cretinous comments in here. Get a * grip some of you.

I think it's more common these days for sure. As with sexual values, these things tend to go in cycles over multiple decades.

For me personally money or Celtic wouldn't even be a decision. I suspect KT is the same, though obviously I don't know. The one that would agonise me would be choosing between Celtic and the chance to really fulfill my full potential. I keep thinking back to Paul McStay. The difference between the leagues was smaller then, but we were shocking. He was a wonderful talent, anyone old enough to remember him will tell you that. Even staying at us, he was a great player. He was my hero as a boy, before I even became a Celtic fan. But I do think he could have been even better had he gone to Italy. Probably truly world class. He made an amazing decision to stay with us all right; but it isn't turning down the money that amazes me.
