Diehard Celtic supporters don't walk in one of the most important seasons in decades and leave us weakend. And don't give them any balls about all the money will be re-invested. Well need all our best players to achieve 9&10iar, esp so called die hard Celtic men. Not jumping ship for more money!
2 years will be like a blink of an eye in his life, he stays we win 9&10 and he'll go down in history. He leaves, he'll just be another greedy little * IMO. I invest my life, my money, my emotions into my club and when I see young ones jumping ship for more money when they are supposedly die hards, it * sickens me.

I think those players didn't have to prove themselves. They had already done so. In the modern game people outside of Celtic fans will not judge you as a top player unless you leave the club. I really believe it is about showing how good he is rather than money.
Also people need to stop saying "if it were me", well it isn't you in this position, never was and never will be.

 

Alternatively, we could lose the league next season, he could lose form, fall out of favour with the fans, get a career ending injury etc and be left wondering what he could have achieved elsewhere and with a shitload more money. A lot of variables come into play, he will be basing his decision with his head not his heart.

 

Folk need to stop stating that everyone would take the money as if it were an obvious fact. People have different histories, different goals, priorities and circumstances.

There's nothing wrong with maximising your income if that's your priority (and in the modern world, it plainly is for many); but to state, as several have done, that everyone would chase the money as if it were fact is nothing more than ideology.

I have a bad feeling he's off (hope I'm wrong); but I see no reason to assume it will mainly be for the money. He doesn't strike me as that kind of boy.

We will always sell our best players , it's our business model. 25m quid is a good whack and our fees recieved are steadily going up as are our fees paid out. The whole club is growing financially - we are moving players on for more moeny and bringing them in for more money aswell - it's all part of the growth process. Why take it so personally?

 

That's exactly my point regarding this. KT was meant to be the exception. He was meant to be the bhoy to take his place in our history with this illustrious names. He was to be the captain of our club for the next 10 years. He spoke last year of being a one club man, it was nothing short of a lie.

The alleged price that we'd be willing to accept is a bit disappointing. I'd value him much higher than £25 million with the way the market is these days.
