    My apologies.

But that was a different time with McStay.

    * has changed and for KT to reach his potential (like Robertson at liverpool) needs to get a team of that calibre.

Personally think arsenal aren't good enough for him..
I agree with Sutton on that. * down south writing him off coz he plays up here.
Excuse me English press.....He showed man city how it's done when he was only 19.

Sorry mate...I just love the lad and I'll be gutted when he leaves. I just feel that we can't hold back world class

If anything, makes me more proud the fact weve developed some of the best players going about now.

    And getting ripped off

I take absolutely nothing away from Henrik but I’m sure his salary here especially early on was as high as it would have been at most other leagues.

I would think the maestro was similar.

I've always thought that KT could be like our Bale. Started at left back then he went to left wing.
Not silky....just pure power and pace.

If he goes for me its going to be hard to take another celtic fans jumping ship for money, its not like he is skint and playing for 10 iar.....he could easily stay two more years breaking more records and then sign for one of the big epl teams and still retire a multi millionaire.

Its not like the lad is in his late 20's.

More i think about it the more * off i get.

He can, and will be, better than Robertson

Hes already a millionaire. His first signing on bonus he bought his parents a house. Hes had another big one for his 6 year contract. If he leaves for money hes no a so called die hard fan.

I agree. You should have said that instead of what you did say.
Go back & edit the original comment, Celtic mad is keeping close watch on this as he is stunned as well & will edit every other mention / quote that refers to it.
It won’t be spoken about again by anyone on here, except to say your account must have been hijacked.

I think he should go. He won’t get any better playing under Lennon. He should go to develop his career. He’s given us everything he can. He’ll go and do us proud

It won't be for money. He will leave to prove himself. For Scotland he is the one who has to shift positions because of Robertson, things like that may irk him. It is about showing how good he is rather than money.

I don't think he will leave given everything that's going on at celtic and where we are just now......but i could be wrong.

If he does, in the future will be just remembered as some guy who used to play for us.....no special status attached.

Im still pisssed from the BR crap i guess.

I think Larsson was on £40k a week at ourselves towards the end. Even before the Sky TV boom he could've earned far more than that elsewhere.

There's no chance McStay was on the maximum he could've got anywhere, certainly not with White and Kelly at the helm. He had interest from Italy and England, they'd have blown our wages out of the water. The guy just loved playing for Celtic and was heart-broken when McCann didn't extend his contract in 1997, so much so that he retired from the game completely. That came from my cousin who played with him at that time.

We look at things from a fans perspective but he has to consider what's best for him and his family , it's his career and his life, when he wears a Celtic jersey he gives everything, he owes us nothing.

It's only natural for supporters to be selfish and hope that he would stay, but even players that do well in the EPL soon come to the attention of the likes of Barca or Real, this is modern day football like it or not.

Right just for clarity the official word is he is on the way back to Lennox town to do some more rehab at the clubs facility.

At the same time there has been a bid of 20.million put in?? Is that concrete?? If so have we accepted said bid or are people just putting 2 and 2 together ?? Theres alot of folk wetting the bed just now I dunno whether to join them or if it's just rafa Benitez all over again

Why would he fly out to Austria then fly back to the UK a few days later for rehab on a pre-existing medical condition?

Unless there's been a further set back to his injury that we're not being told about, I think that's indicative that something has changed.

That could probably happen even without us banking a paltry 20/25m for him.

Even if we did bank it you can be sure most of it would sit right there in the bank anyway.

Sorry Pete but I'm judging you over the last 15 years not the last 15 days!!

Admittedly, credit for Julienne, but it's early days ( well not really for CL) and that's just a start with a shitload to do.
