If Arsenal’s transfer budget is really 45 mill as reported, it would be a substantial gamble from their perspective to blow 25-30 of that on a left back who has been injured for much of the past year, especially when they have one or two other positions to address. I know that WE all know he’d be fantastic in the EPL but I’m hoping the valuation drives them away soon when considered with the other factors.

 

Kieran owes us no loyalty as it's modern day football, it barely exists anymore. But, if he really is 'one of our own' (which I think he is) then he won't be leaving to join the 5th best team in England.

Barca or Madrid are maybe once in a lifetime opportunities if they come knocking. He could have 3 more great seasons with us and still get a move to the top of the EPL imo. Only thing that might sway him is this injury, maybe he feels it could stunt his progression at some point and he'll lose that kind of chance. Hopefully he stays fit and stays in hoops!

 

Ah probably come from the deluded few but I like to think we're more than Barca or real even. Not financial muscle, European pedigree, success or even clout. I honestly don't enjoy football as a game. I love Celtic tho. A cop out would be the auld saying "reflection of culture identity" which is true. Even tho saying that is becoming a slur. This club is more than that, it's a family. We've recieved micky mouse bids that are at the same time fairly substantial... and thats with a season marred by injury and no CL football, as well as recivering from a major op.

Imagine his value this time next year with full season of doing what he does best with CL exposure.

I don't doubt he is a Celtic fan. I even begrudgingly admit Brendan Rodgers is a fan. (I'm not putting them in the same category) but for me, being a Celtic fan is more than money, it's more than improving, it's more than playing against the best. Why does he need to leave to achieve potential? I would sacrifice every bit of potential imaginable to stay at Celtic my whole career. People want to see him here for the 10. * the ten. I want him here in 10 years time, doing a Scott Brown and getting his testimonial. Becoming a Billy McNeil. If he looks up to them as much as he says he does, the premier league should be the last thing on his mind. If he leaves, he's just another man who's put financial gain over legendary status at our club. In 10 years time, he would be spoke about in the same terms as Tommy Burns, Billy McNeil etc. He would be a legend. Look at McNeil this year. Honoured by an absolutely wonderful club in Spain for his services. If he leaves, he will be welcomed back, no doubt with love and affection. However, that love and affection would be transcended to new heights if he stayed. My heart is on the line. Be a McNeil, be a Burns. Be a legend to the people you love, the people who love you. He's living our dream. Stay and continue living it for us. * that tourist league pish, where money comes before everything else. * the 10. Stay for the 20.
