Even not considering the incompetence of our board to sign anyone, yes, he is irreplaceable. We would spend much more to buy an LB as good as him than we could ever get for him. Good LB's are a very rare thing in the market. He is the player in the squad that has the biggest chance of going on and becoming one of the biggest names of the history of the club. The future of the team is not just made of money but also of having icons future generations can look up to, the way we see the Lisbon Lions today. I know it is helpless to see modern football through the prism of anything other than money, but even so: having guys like Tierney is the only way we can make sure the future generations of Scotland and Ireland will turn to Celtic instead of the Premier League. Regardless of how sucessful and rich the team is, it is much easier to care about a team led by Tierney than a squad of 11 Ntchams and Turnbulls.

He'll be here for as long as he wants basically, that's the bottom line.
Still, I dont suppose that will stop the usual panic merchants going on about him being sold/forced out blah blah :76:

ps you're right, it shouldn't be dismissed ... it should be laughed at.

David Ornstein seems quite confident that he’ll end up at Arsenal. He’s their version of Stephen McGowan - only, even more reliable.

If he is bypassing the old feeder club into England route and going straight to one of the big boys then it should be 30-40mil minimum.

However I don't believe for one second that KT would want go before we do the 10.

I think that's why many supporters have become apathetic to big player sales.

If the money went back into the squad then we'd grudgingly accept it. Instead we replace quality with loans or speculative punts between £0 and £2 million eg. Bayo in for Dembele.

    * buzzing on the Arsenal fan forum over this, so they know how good he is.

Has to be double that £15mil opening bid. Our board will be very keen to sell, for these sort of numbers though.

If he does go this window then anything below £25 million would be a complete scandal. I don't care about any players on loan from them.

    Tierney, Ntcham & Lustig out.

    Jenkinson, Turnbull & Ankersen in.

    Big downgrade imo.

Jenkinson is a RB, so I'd doubt he would be a replacement for KT..
