I was convinced Dembele wouldn't leave last summer and I was 100% certain our last manager wouldn't up sticks midway through a season.

I suspect KT, McGregor & Ntcham go this summer. Maybe 20+18+12 at best. I desperately hope I'm wrong. I understand our position, develop youth and sell or spot potential, buy, make better and sell.
But our recruitment needs rapid overhaul as it's not meeting the teams needs at the pace we're selling talent. I could face losing anyone, even KT if I had confidence in our clubs structure, vision & recruitment. But we are run badly, its abundantly clear we have cash and it's not being used wisely. The wage bill for example.
Downsizing i felt was inevitable when i saw last years wage bill. I fear this summer.

Will be nigh on impossible for us to keep a hold of players like KT and CalMac forever, especially when EPL clubs can flash the cash and spend their cut of the TV revenue.

Only thing we can hope for is that we hold out for silly money, but even then if a club really want a player they will be willing to spend the money.

    He may go..

It won't be to Arsenal though and definitely won't be for 15 mill..

I can understand our grip on these players will loosen when the big money comes in. For me? Give it another season. There's too much changing at a pivotal time with the transitioning to a NL approach of football. Keep KT, Calum and let Olivier go. Bring another someone to replace him or strengthen the defence.

Keep KT for the ten. Sell Calum (£20m) over the next few years (arguably our best player, in my opinion.)

When he does eventually go we better get a 25% future sell on fee put in..

They are to me pal and whether it is an 'excellent league' is entirely subjective.

I much prefer to watch the English Championship from a competetive and sporting point of view.

I get that too but there's low ball and there's insulting!! Something our own lot are a bit guilty of and have been stung for recently with regards to last summer. I don't like them either and sadly they have all the financial clout over our ambitions.

I've a bad feeling about this one tbh.

Arsenal can pay £25mil and probably quadruple his wages. Couldn't blame Tierney if he went tbh.

If I thought a good chunk of the fee would be reinvested you could just about stomach it but there's no chance. There will be a * riot if not sold without proper reinvestment

I'd love him to stay here for years, but let's be honest he's not irreplaceable.

Anything near or over the £20m mark shouldn't be dismissed.

Arsenal should pay through the nose. Kieran is supposed to be our future captain. Us missing out on that should be included in the price.

I hate to say it as I thought he would see it 10 , In my view he won’t go to Arsenal and as soon as teams are alerted to Celtic having discussed the 20m the best case scenario is it will alert other teams and hopefully a bidding war starts could rise to 30m

£20mil isn't enough imo. We won't reinvest it anyway.

I dont think it's all that insulting. Hes our biggest asset and hes a defender. It was widely thought our biggest asset was Dembele and we got £20mil for him last year, as a striker. Rightly or wrongly attackers cost more than defenders. If we sold our best attacker for that last season then Arsenal aren't being that insulting thinking £15million is a good starting point for our best defender.

It's an offer we have rightly rejected and we do have a history of under selling ourselves. Personally I'd not even think about anything below 25-30million. But from Arsenals perspective it was probably a decent start point all things considered.

Aye it should. He has 4 years on his contract! Hes our best young talent. £20m in today's market is * all, and I'd rather have Kieran Tierney in the squad than a non invested poxy £20m sitting in the growing bank of Peter lawwell

We need to remember Dominik Solanke cost Bournemouth £19m.

Lucrative, high profile, competitive from the point of view that each match is a challenge. Whether it's the very best or whether someone enjoys it is subjective, what's not up for debate is that it's one of the most attractive leagues in football and Arsenal are one of the best clubs in it

Of course that's subjective and up for debate :56:

I know plenty of people that don't find it attractive (in England as well). What you are basically saying is there is loads of money in it. That is the only thing that isn't up for debate.
