He's a star just now, imo.

John Sutton is a pretty physical player, Tierney more or less had the beating of him every time when he came on - plus you see his attitude when he gets tackled.....straight back up!

I honestly look at the boy playing and get reminded of young Celtic players from the 60's and 70's, if you get my meaning.

He reminds me of those players too, something real heart and soul about him. A Celtic fan too. He's a fantastic player and it's brilliant we developed him.

If we had someone capable of keeping the ball down from cut backs he'd be on double figures for assists already.

Love that tendency he has when he gets to the byline to actually pick someone out rather than just flash it anywhere across the face.

He is a star, he can be a better player than Andy Robertson IMO which is as high praise as you're going to get at this point in his career!

    Agree with this.

Teams have looked to bully and more often than not pick him out as a weakness. Thistle the other week played just about every goal kick down the left. Play diagonals balls to the left and I think even the Stranraer game, they felt that the best chance they had was down our left.

Teams looking to use the physical route, similar to what they do with Izzy.

Playing beyond expectations and doesn't get the recognition he should outwith Celtic fans.

He is as good in defence as he is in the attack - plus he is actually decent in the air for a smaller man.

Another great performance from KT today. He had O'Halloran in his back pocket today.

Sometimes there was a lack of movement from the midfield and sometimes running down the wing he never had anything on for him to pass or cross to. You could see he was visibly frustrated as he was waving his arms about.

I get what Pad means about the 60s/70s player thing.

Still think Izzy offers more in attack than KT but the wee man is miles ahead of him in defence. The sheer amount of times he stops the ball getting in the box is outrageous.

Hopefully the attacking part improves over the next couple of years, no reason why it can't either.

    Really excited about the lad.

The difference in quality crosses offered by KT and Izzy is totally night and day, I will say that though :50:

I agree with that. Izzy gets forward a lot more and links up a lot better to get up the park.

KT seems to lump up the line a lot. To be fair we seem to be doing the same on both sides quite a lot so maybe it's tactical.

I would've agreed with you yesterday Sean, but after todays performance I also rate KT better in attack than Izzy. Crosses he put in were lovely and added a lot of danger.

His crosses have always been good. Izzy can progress up the line a lot better than KT though, better at the one twos and showing for the ball in space.

Nothing that KT can't work on though.

Exactly I keep forgetting he's only 18 and has already knocked izzy out of his position and made it his, can't wait to see how much better he gets.

Teams in England pay millions for full backs that do this. His balls into the box are delicious. Ashley Cole is one I can think of who used to do that.

I think it's that he seems to just play football naturally and with total confidence like if theres space he runs into it, if theres a guy infront of him blocking a cross he beats him then crosses, if someones running at him, he tackles them. He doesn't think twice about nothing just goes about his business with total confidence in everything he does, and he gets up and down the park and tore into everything. Plays with a kind of freedom thats refreshing to watch compared to other players who seem to play in a similar pattern every game.

He's been excellent since breaking into the team. Solid in the tackle and likes to get on the ball, good going forward too, really excited to see how he develops!
