Honestly didn't think he'd been up to his best recently, obviously not doing much wrong but just not quite hitting the heights like we know he can, was absolutely immense today, unplayable.

Think having Izzy back and covering the odd game will be great for us this season, that statistic of KT playing more minutes than anyone last year is nuts.

Wee bit of play leading to Edouard's header chance was excellent. Skins one, then cuts back in to fool another and lays it off to Calmac. They have no answer to him at all.

Brilliant performance yesterday , that's the Tierney we all know at his maurauding best ..knocking the ball past players and driving at them all day and strong on the defense just cleaning * out with the ball.

Was fantastic footwork and awareness. He is some player, absolutely rinsed them down that wing.

KIERAN Tierney believes Celtic answered a lot of their critics in a week which they rounded off with a dominant win in a Glasgow derby.

The game was the first meeting between the two sides this season and the Ibrox side came into the fixture full of optimism. But Brendan Rodgers’ side once again asserted their dominance over their city rivals as they extended their impressive record under the manager to 10 wins and two draws in the last 12 meetings.

Tierney was hugely satisfied with the win and was only disappointed the team never managed to score more goals to reflect their superiority during the 90 minutes.

“Every time we beat them it feels sweet,” Tierney told this week’s Celtic View. “A lot of off the field stuff was going on in the lead-up to this, but I felt we answered a lot of critics in this game with our performance. If it wasn’t for their goalkeeper, it could have been a lot more than 1-0.

“The counter-attack to get the goal was brilliant. The willingness for everyone to get up the park was phenomenal. Ollie’s composure to finish was brilliant. He works hard, like we all do, and he thoroughly deserved the goal. It summed up our performance. We deserved to win.”

The 21-year-old defender also highlighted the atmosphere at Paradise during the game which had more Celtic fans than usual for a Glasgow derby following the ticket allocation changes.

“You notice the difference with the atmosphere,” he said. “You’re used to growing up and watching it on TV and it’s the same section every time. When it’s like that, though, it only helps us.

“The atmosphere was brilliant, from the start right the way through to the end. The fans are always with you and that’s what you always need. It was a win for them as well.”

Just had an argument in work with my Hibs supporting manager ....... He was trying to tell me that Robertson was a better left back because he's playing at a higher level ........ What a numpty.

Tbf it’s a much closer argument now.. Robertson has been excellent in every aspect of his game recently and although I’d still have KT over him, Robertson is playing at a higher level and his final ball is better now..

Would say Robertson is better atm to be honest. Not much in it though.

Absolutely love KT, but I wish he wouldn't pretend to be injured whenever he gets tackled. I always worry it's a serious injury, every single time. :31: :52:

Overall ability I wouldn’t say there’s much in it, think Robertson’s the better attacking player and Tierney the better defender.

However, I think Robertson’s ability to cross the ball puts him just ahead of KT for me. His crossing is unreal, up there with the best in Europe. Still would be taking KT any day :49:

Robertson is the better of the two just now, however kt is miles ahead of what Robertson was at 21.

One of the few good standouts against Belgium. Couple of great tackles and defensive plays here today.
