If only Tony Watt could have had his attitude. The fact Tierney is putting in better performances than some of our senior players speaks volumes. Long may it continue!

He's the kind of player that will always give his all.
I think Ronny is doing well to take his time with him. I've seen some supporters demand he starts every game :52:

Hope the wee man is with us for a long time.

This time last year, on December 28, 2014, Kieran Tierney suffered a broken leg in training. Fast forward 12 months and the teenager is playing first-team football for Celtic.
And while he remains thankful for all the help he’s received behind the scenes, both in his initial recovery and then in his progression from promising Academy star to first-team player, Tierney must take much of the credit himself for his attitude and application over the past year.
Now he’s hoping to end 2015 by helping the Hoops get all three points against Dundee on Wednesday night and return to winning ways, something they were unlucky not to do on Sunday against Hearts at Tynecastle.

Speaking exclusively to Celtic TV, the teenage defender said: “It’s actually a year today that I broke my leg, so it’s a good comeback from me. I’ve worked hard in the gym and all the staff have helped me come back so I’m grateful for that.
“The competition’s hard. I’m 18-years-old and playing with the Celtic first-team. I just need to keep working hard and hopefully the manager keeps believing in me.”
Tierney and his team-mates were disappointed that a late, deflected free-kick denied them all three points against Hearts on Sunday.

Tierney and his team-mates were disappointed that a late, deflected free-kick denied them all three points against Hearts on Sunday.
The Hoops had twice led at Tynecastle, first through Nir Bitton and then Tom Rogic, who produced a stunning strike to restore Celtic’s lead. But the home side battled back, netting injury-time goals on both occasions. Tierney believes the team deserved better from the match.
“We showed hunger and desire to win,” he said. “We were like a team, a gang there – we want to fight for each other and we just need to keep that going.
“Obviously it’s hard to take but the manager said, and all the players agree, that there are positives to take from the game – it was a deflected free-kick late in the game and there’s not much you can do about that.
“It was a great goal from Tom and when you go 2-1 up you think you can keep the lead, especially with just 15 minutes to go, but obviously we didn’t, so we just need to keep our heads up and go on to Wednesday’s game now.”

Has a much older head on his shoulders than his age suggests.

Assured on the ball and has a good sense of potential danger and getting himself back into position.

By the time he's 21ish he could be our best player tbh.

Hope he stays for years. And more importantly the board don't take his support as a weakness when sorting out his contract. Look after the Bhoy!

I would actually disagree with that. I'd say he's technically pretty limited and 95% of the time when he has the ball in our half he simply balloons it to safety.

He's very good defensively though and makes good runs forward. On the ball he isnt the greatest though.

I see why you say that however is strange as his passing and crossing are both quite encouraging I suggest he's been told to play a more risk free brand of football minimise mistakes until he builds some more strength in his upper body and then he can work on composure at the highest level last thing you want is him costing us a game and wrecking his confidence.

He is a pure wee guy, but sometimes I'd like him to have a wee bit more composure and play a pass, rather that just hoof it clear. Don't get me wrong - hoofing it clear is sometimes required, but a Celtic player should be composed enough on the ball to look up and play a pass to try and get something going.

I see that as a good thing tho. He can put in great crosses and a good first pass, and defensively is steady in man-man coverage and clears balls with ease i.e he's never going to be a weakpoint if he keeps playing how he's playing. Havent been able to say that about our defence since last season.

Seriously? I've thought he's been unbelievably comfortable on the ball, especially considering his age.

I agree with Paul, he plays as though he is 28 not 18. Think he's going to be a star for us.

He's a very good footballer especially considering his age - which is something you shouldn't consider in competitive football. He's fast and can get down the flank but I would say he's the least comfortable on the ball in our first team.

Compare him to someone like Bitton or Commons in terms of passing and technique. Miles apart.

He's good, but by no means the finished article. Which is obviously not a surprise seeing as he's 18.
