His interview was brilliant. He speaks so well for someone so young.

What I hated was Lawro and Ian Wright after the interview, these are guys who have probably never watched him play. Saying he won't be able to be a great player unless he leaves Celtic. * arrogant arseholes!

Doogs. Lustig your the one, you still turn me on.

Switched it off soon as KT was finished speaking, with * like that in the studio you know what's coming. Arrogant, ignorant Englishmen. * make me sick.

The questions in the interview where obviously asking him if he plans on leaving Celtic in the future and he basically told them he had no ambition to about 3 times. * the BBC.

  6. I'm sorry but they are not wrong. KT has potential to be truely world class, this means though he has to play regularly against better opponents for a better team.
The fact is that celtic are not in the top twenty , possibly thirty best teams in Europe right now and with the amount of money being pumped into the game and how shockingly incompetent (corrupt) the sfa is? it will be this way for the foreseeable future. This is no fault of our own because we are one of the biggest in the world in terms of history and following.

KTS potential is far higher than celtic overall potential, KT is a future champions league winner , celtic is not, this is not arrogance it is just a hard truth.

This being said I don't see KT leaving, ever. He seems to play for the love of football not riches. He looks up to broony and he is an example of someone who could move on to bigger thing but stayed for the love of the club, that is why he is a celtic legend.

His profile is growing. Bad performance today though

  8. Not having a good season at all, getting to easy a ride, some serious * uos this year, last couple of weeks causing goals against Hibs and Anderlecht and another horror show today.

Need a lb to kick his *, as he's looking pretty ordinary at the moment and obviously he's not, but he needs that challenge or he's going to think he's oblivious to everything.

  9. His position is by far the most secure in the squad, so perhaps another LB pushing him for a place in the starting XI might be what he needs to kick on and bring his game back up to the level that it was last season.

  10. Thought it was a bang liberty taking him off at half time..

What did he do wrong that Jozo, Boyata, Lustig, Sinclair, Griffiths, McGregor didn't?

Thought both the half time sub's were pish..

We should've went 3-5-2 with Armstrong in beside Broony, Ntcham 10 and KT on the left wing with Griff off for Dembele..

Think he was more taken off as he's ran out of steam, he's much bulkier than he was a year ago and he can't handle the pace as much now at getting up and down the park all the time especially the amount of games he's played, think today was his 37th of the season for us and Scotland plus whatever pre-season friendlies he played in.

A lot of our players could be doing with time off, most haven't had a break in fucknos how long but we have 4 more games in the next 13 days so they'll need to keep going.

  11. Can’t see him ever being world class in my opinion. The boy is a very good celtic player and could develop into a solid full back for a very good team but I doubt he can reach the level of an Alaba or Marcelo.

As good as KT is domestically, I still think he has a lot to learn in top European competition when we are not on the front foot for 90 minutes. I don’t think the fact that he doesn’t have any completion for his place in the team will help his development in the long term. Essentially means a dependable back up left back is needed in January / the summer to keep him on his toes.

Looks knackered hes getting almost no help from sinclair either

  13. He was rested midweek..

  14. Checking there and 64 games Tierney has played for Celtic and Scotland including friendlies from the 22nd of January to now, so just under 11 months and the longest he went without playing a match was 20 days which was from the Scotland V England game to the first pre-season game, so no real break.

He's averaged a match every 5.1 days for 11 months.

  15. Sinclair bottles it so much when the goings tough and definitely leaves KT isolated. Passes the buck/safe to him..

  16. Anyone think it would be worth putting him in at CB for the games between now and January and have either McGregor or Hayes play at LB?

I'm aware KT isn't the tallest but he's played CB for Scotland before and has a lot more pace than either Boyata or Jozo.

He can't possibly do any worse than either of them have done recently.

    Looks fatigued.

However I didn't understand the decision to take him off. As has been said he was no worse than some others and I think Rodgers showed his hand too quickly and left us even more open.

If we'd have moved to a 3 and got a goal.before 60 then who knows. Hindsight now though.

Bad day all round for players and manager.

  18. McGregor at LB, ffs, jesus wept.

If it wasn't for BR telling Hayes he was signing for us, there would a been no treble.

Keep McGregor up the other end of the park, as he's a liability in even the least bit of a defensive mode.

And KT aint a CH, isn't good at man marking.

  19. He'll still have been training though, he along with a lot of our players need a good couple of weeks away to sit on their arses and get well rested, a lot of them are probably done in like Armstrong as well went from bit part to playing every game and playing International football on top.

Looked up for a comparison there and the hun who's played the most games for them in 2017 is Tavernier who has only played 44 games, 20 less than Tierney. Tierney has actually played 41 games just from the 30th of June to now.
