Sounds more like wishful thinking to me. I really think Tierney will be here for that whole contract and could end up being the next Scott Brown in the sense of being at Celtic for most of his career and being a long term Celtic captain.

 

I’m so torn because I’d obviously love him here his whole career, but I’d also love to see him make the step up to a top European side and fulfil his potential.

 

I would say Scott Brown has had a pretty good career and Celtic sure did ok by Henrik Larsson too. Nothing torn for me at all in being delighted to see a Celtic supporting graduate of our academy sign a long term deal and maybe be in the early years of a long Celtic career and become one of the great Celtic full backs of all time.

He is going to stay a long long time at Celtic,he is happy and loves the club,plus we are going to get stronger and stronger.We have an excellent manager who is playing the long game,we are going to build a very good team perhaps a great team.

 

How does that even make sense? He was contracted til 2021 before his new deal anyway, the new contract was for a big pay rise to keep him here.

 

Does anything ever make sense where that mob are concerned?

Was so good to see him do it in Champions league aswell proving a lot of doubters wrong.

 

Just a fantastic talent....hope he stays for a few years before he moves on......think he'll captain the team before that move takes place (hopefully).....can't help but compare him to Danny McGrain both in talent and consistency....hail hail KT.

 

If him leaving is inevitable we'd do amazingly well to keep here until he's about 26/27

 

Young enough to stay for another 5 years then get a move to a big European team same with Dembelle
