Kieran Tierney

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Mr. Slippyfist, Aug 1, 2015.

£10m is laughable. Well, when you see what likes or Luke Shaw went for a few years ago.

  1. Sunderland gtf What year will Ramos retire? give us a rough estimate to timescale.

Tim-Time 1888 Always look on the bright side of Life

    Sunderland ffs :56:

  3. To be fair wanting Kieran Tierney for your team doesn't make you clueless. It's more the * uselessness of his management skills that does it for the man.

Think he means the underestimation in KT's value.

  5. How the times have turned when we are able to sit in a position and genuinely laugh at the talk of an English Premiership team tabling a bid of £10m for a player of ours that is only 19 and has only been in our first team ranks for over a year and a half.

  6. Aye I got that. Doubt he puts the offer together, prob just names a player he likes much the same as Rodgers. Anyway story is prob a bag of made up * anyway.

    Captain Brown likes this.
  7. I wouldn't be so quick to shrug off genuine interest in Tierney.

He is a * unbelievable young talent, and it's in no way beyond the realms of possibility the sharks from the "bigger league" circling young Kieran waiting to sink their teeth into him.

Fortunately though, he's one of our own...

  8. They get £14m for a very ordinary player and want to pay £10m for Tierney?

That must make sense to someone.

  9. 10 million is an insult.

The board are not stupid they see the valuations getting placed or paid on our former player like wanyama and VVD.

I would value KT higher than Dembele- He is far more accomplished in his position and is a very consistent performer.

He is a modern full back who can not only attack and deliver the ball he can actually defend.( like a * lion) He is a very rare commodity in terms of full backs.

20 mil would be a bare minimum

  10. It makes perfect sense.

Teams from England have been poaching players from Scotland for an absolute pittance for years. Only recently have we started to see the figures rise (still not enough imo) in transfer fees received in Wanyama, Forster and van Dijk.

You are spot on with your assessment about van Aanholt being an average player going for £14m, because if he's worth that, then I can hand on my heart say Tierney is well worth double...at least.

If he does eventually leave which I don't think he will for a while, it will be for a top team, not * Sunderland :56:

They are signing Oviedo anyway so that's their left back, but apparently they are looking at Jozo.

  13. It would defo be a Barcelona/ Real Madrid type of team and it will be far more than 10 mil

  14. Sometimes I HATE the transfer window

  15. I ain't shrugging of interest, he's a class act. I just wouldn't trust any story that comes from the media these days. You get the impression they just pull clubs & figures out thin air with most of the stories. Barrie McKay £6m target for RB Leipzig being a laughable example.

I'd rather he stayed here for his whole career anyway :celt_2:

  17. It is ridiculous how well he has played this season ........... Let's hope it continues.

  18. We all would. But realistically he may have ambitions or we might just get an insane bid that we could not refuse.

could we really say no to some thing insane like 30 mil?
