Ki is a quality player. If and when he does move on he could potentially go on to having a brilliant career, for I feel he has every bit as much technical ability as anyone I've witnessed in the Hoops, potentially he could be every bit as good as Lubo, because when folk speculate as to what it would have been like to have Lubo arrive at Parkhead 10 years earlier, that is what I see in Ki.

That said, perhaps the style of football here is not quite best suited to his game, and I don't know why but some have just set their minds against him for whatever reason and no matter what he does, he'd still be the sacrificial lamb to some supporters. Brown was pretty ordinary today and was not surprised when he got the hook, yet all the flak is coming in Ki's direction because twice he hit woodwork - seriously, that is the reason why people are aligned against him - because he came close?

He was one of the better players on the park today over the course of the 90min. In the LCF v Killie, we started playing much better once Ki got on & started to stretch the Killie defence wih his passing.

I can see why clubs down south and across the continent are casting an eye on him, and if he is traded in order to preserve the core of our established first team and perhaps add a quality CB & striker then fair enough, and this summer may well be the ideal opportunity to cash in on him. But for those that are saying 'punt him' just because they don't like him is just nuts.

Think that Ki was by far our best midfielder today. I'm sick at his two missed headers today but I think that he and Brown until he was subbed were our best players today

When Naka first came to Celtic didn't he want to play center? Then he got moved to the left. Maybe Ki should get moved to the right and Brown back to the center.

I know you have said this before Tim, but there is no danger Ki will ever have the quality that Lubo had. He isnt even guaranteed a start for us. Lubo had guile, great vision, could strike and cross with both feet and was a little magician. If Ki goes elsewhere then good luck to him, I think he will end up back in Asia. As for him in Serie A? Really? The game there is not as slow as you would imagine, and the game is just as physical.

I agree that he was one of our better players today though. Only he and Commons looked any good.

Appreciate what you're saying here, Pat. However we all remember Lubo primarily for his time with Celtic, and that he was 33-34 etc when he arrived. Lubo at Ki's age was not the same player he was when he joined us. It took time for Lubo to fully develop his game and to become the wizard we all remember.

Who is to say what Ki will achieve & the player he will be by the age of 33?

Totally disagree with that, and if indeed you reckon he was our best midfielder today then that speaks volumes for the rest of them.

Ki is the most two footed player we have in the team. Nobody in their right mind could compare him to Lubo, but to want to get rid of him is madness. This is the type of player we will need to progress in the CL. The guy who can stand on the ball and move it when it is required to either side of midfield or forward when we need it.

Then, like me, your only guessing. I dont see a player anywhere near Lubo's class in Ki. In fact I dont think he has developed at all since he joined us.

No, that would be Kris Commons.

And dreams of the CL are just that. Remember how Ki played against Sion earlier in the season? A game that should have suited his style.

I'm still in disbelief that he didn't score today, it really was incredible.

Lubo was absolutely brilliant for st. etienne early in his career aswell. Infact he might have even been better for them than he was for us. Zidane made some comment about growing up watching lubo and thinking he was brilliant, this would have been when lubo was playing for st. etienne.

One of the few pluses from Ki today is that he didnt pull out of 50/50s for a change.

if he had scored one of them and we won everyone would say "OH WHAT A GAME BY KI"

If you want 4 Scott Browns in the midfield, please let it be so.

For me Ki is a young lad who will get better and better very talented player

If Ki scored the winner/late equaliser I would have booed.

I mean, how can you expect a player to score from 3 yards out?

    It's ridiculous.

Was never a big Ki fan but he'd been winning me over recently, he was terrible today though, the 2 absolute sitters aside. I've no idea how he actually managed to miss those, it would've been easier to score.

Just because he missed chances doesnt mean he had an awful game. I thought he was not that bad tbh. the only real link from midfield to attack at times.
