Ki is going to move next summer

Is he though, or do we put too much of a value on some of our players before they prove their worth on a consistent basis ?
Some of us are quoting him at 8 to 10 million, up there with McGeady ? Personally I say no way.
So the next thing Kayal thinks, if he is worth that then what the * must I be worth ? So now he's no such a happy camper ?

As far as I'm concerned, none of them are "too good" for the SPL right now, not until they can back it up with results and performances on the park (week in week out). Some might say they can't play their best against the cloggers, and on the pitches up here, but they didn't seem to hinder Spurs much when they played at Tynecastle.

Tin hat is firmly in place, but IMO there is a difference between supporting and encouraging a player, and bummin him up till he has a swelled head before he has really proved hee haw.

it's annoying how a lot of you are saying that he disappears in big games. I think he plays fine in big/specific games although he could take more command, and drive the team but that's kinda hard to do with so many ball hogs and pointless punts.

I like the post that went something like "he's our best player but we play better when he's not playing. Weird." i think ki knows that he's done just about as much as he could've done with these guys, and there's not much there for him to further his game in spl. Spl toughened him and taught him well espcially in shielding/keeping the ball under physical pressure. Time to move on to a league where he can flourish with more space to work with. We should use the money and spend it on where it needs to be spent, such as the CB position.

Just because he says he doesn't want to go, doesn't actually mean that's the case. After all, October is not the time to be making waves - anyone with half a brain knows this!
If he wants to go, then let him. There can be no room for players who don't want to be here.
IMO he doesn't do it often enough and doesn't have the necessary fight in him - as Lenny said when he took the job; we need players who will go to war every time they take the field!
For me Ki isn't one of those!
So if we can get £8m plus then take it & invest it in the team!!!

 

Hope he goes I've lost all faith in this bhoy now. I was a big Ki fan for a long time but once more (and not for the first time before anyone says I am jumping on him for a few bad games) Ki went missing BIG TIME in the middle of the park in scrappy games when we needed him to dig in for us at Ibrox and Tynecastle.
He is a quality and classy player on a good pitch when we are 2-0 up and coasting yes I'll give him that. But when we really need him he is often found severely lacking and at this time the last thing we need at the club are passengers

He has stated that the rumours are false. He has come out and had the balls to speak out that's good enough for me. I remember we had Nakamura and I used to say he was too light weight,not enough strength, a passenger for many games and he wasn't 6"2 or young, Ki will come good for us if he does remain at the club.

 

It's laughable that he's being called a passenger. He has not been our problem lately, it's our defence but every player seems to be getting it from all angles. Some strange comments in this thread.

Ki's a good player and is going to get even better, it's easy to forget that he's only 22 and will develop even further. Ki's been covering duds when he sits deep and tries to protect the defence and has been wrongly blamed. He's surely lost all confidence in some of his team-mates.

Don't need to say much about him going forward. His passing and vision have been as good as always and he's been getting in the position to score goals as well lately.

Confirmation guys. Ki said League title is the priority for him at the moment and he will think about the "Big" transfer down the south only after he learns more at celtic. Good Bhoy

i dont know what people expect but someone of Ki's ability for the price we paid in scottish footballs financial climate is an absolute gem. Dont expect 5-6 million pound signings for a long long time!!.
