[Link] Keith Andrews

there are plenty of games in a season where midfield will be flooded (hearts away, motherwell away) where we need lads in CM to roll up their sleeves and battle for parity to ensure we have enough ball to feed our widemen and strikers...times like this we need the likes of Andrews.

 

Andrews is very similar to Ledley just not as good imo. We have aggressive and defensive minded CM's so only if we were to sell Ledley, Wanyama or Kayal would I even think of picking up this guy on a free.

 

Still don't think we need him but after the Euro's, if we were to lose one of our central midfielders that are quality defensively (Wanyama, Kayal), then I'd considering signing him.

At the moment though, we still don't need him.

 

If we sell both Wanyama and Ki which look like they are drawing interest, I wouldn't mind Andrews. That would give us Kayal, Brown, Ledley, and Andrews for the middle.

Agreed about Nedved, but Seedorf is one of the greatest players I've seen. He was outstanding for every team he played for and in my opinion, a much better tackler/player than Keano. Keano was one of the best in Europe mind you, just that he never came close to big Clarence.

I can't see Keith Andrews coming and making a difference for us, especially if none of our players leave.

 

Wouldn't have posted it if I didn't believe it. Nedved, I would say, is the least of those listed, in terms of tackling that is, but imo he was a bit better in the tackle than Keano.

As I said, I loved Roy - one of my fav ever footballers - but no way was he the best tackler of all time, as Celtic<3 had (kind of) claimed.

 

Two words... Paulo Maldini.

 

I never claimed he was the best tackler of all time, he's the best I've seen, but im only 17 . I really dont think the likes of Seedorf or Nedved were better tacklers than Keano, and there's no one like Keane playing now imo.

 

Paulo Nedved and Seedorf were not better tacklers than Roy Keane. Definitely not.

More talented footballers certainly but as a tackler and brawler? No chance.

fights for every loose ball , sometimes the likes of ki and mccourt let us down in these areas

 

I rate him very highly. Dog fighter.

 

My opinion of him has gone even higher after the euros, very good player, I actually really want us to sign him now.

 

A decent EURO's doesnt make him more appealing for me. Still think 5 of our central midfielders are better than him.
