Some people seem to know a lot about a guy they've watched in one European Championship game vs Croatia, and possibly what Wikipedia tossed up also.

    This.
Like Sammy, vs Poland, a memorable error (poor shot) has brought out the critics.

Only player who looked dangerous for us tonight, didn't do much in terms of retaining possession or creating but the system we play limits his opportunities to do so, and he was against a top class midfield. People judging him on this game are crazy imo.

Andrews has always done what he has been asked to do and tonight he did that and more. He'd be a very good coup on a free for us IMO.

Not comparable. Samaras made more than one mistake and never looked comfortable in the game.

But I definitely see where you're coming from. People should wait and judge him after seeing him on numerous occasions. He's not a bad player.

The Euro's is a very difficult competition.

He is a good player and would do well in the SPL but it is a position where we don`t need to sign anyone. We currently have Kayal, Ledley, Brown, Ki, McGeouch??, Wanyama. Absolutely no need to sign Andrews who is getting on a bit as well

I havent seen a great deal of him to be fair, but tonight he looked lively and had a lot of energy. If this is his style then I could see him being a useful player for us. Certainly didnt disgrace himself against a good Croatia side.

Seems some people wont be happy till we are nipping in ahead of Man City for players.

People who are saying he's crap obviously haven't saw him play much, He always gives 100% and empties the tank..Tonight when Irish players gave up when we were 3-1 down he was the only one pushing himself to get on to the end of chances.. Im not saying he's brilliant im just saying that i'd rather see someone who you know is going to give his all for 90 minutes rather than someone that will just give up!

    I thought the exact same.

He came close on a few occasions and covered the pitch well.

Realistically, we really have no need for a player such as Andrews. Witholut question, our midfield is one of the strongest and in depth departments that we have in our squad. Any money spend on the likes of Andrews would be much better invested in other areas.

    Not true.

'* Keith Andrews is on £21,000-a-week and an extra £2,000 for every game. His wages also increase every time he plays five Premier League games - and an annual extra payment of £26,667. MK Dons are also entitled to 10% of any profit over his purchase price of £1 million.'

From the Blackburn wages leak last year.

He was Ireland's best player last night in a woeful performance by the boys in green. Still I don't think he is an improvement on what we already have at the club. Central Midfield is not a priority area for us to strengthen, we would only be signing Andrews to replace midfielders we currently have if one or two of them were sold.

nobody is saying he is better than kayal etc but he brings alot of experience etc that would be good for a young team also think punting ki for 5 million or so and getting him for free represents good buisness

And what ? His wages are still high and the fact he is on a free means he can command bigger wages and a bigger signing on fee.
