I live in the middle of the two of them,you would be surprized what ppl will tell you

 

Lived in the toon as a bairn & have family there, they always tell me sunderland is a penal colony!

 

Is keane going to either of these clubs ???

 

i know a lot of people from sunderland they will beg to differ, i for one would not live in Newcastle as they are better places down here than the toon

 

dont know mate, he was on Sunderlands wish list at one stage and turned them down, he said he does not fancy the north east (england)

then now, he might be going to the toon, there is not much between the the 2 citys so * knows what he is thinking

I got told from a very good friend that keane has told spurs that he only wants to goto Celtic, I don't know how reliable he is though, but you never know

Hopes that Newcastle would secure the services of a third international in a week receded on Sunday, when Spurs striker Robbie Keane ducked out of a loan move to SJP.

It's unclear whether the Republic of Ireland forward will now remain at White Hart Lane or move elsewhere before Tuesday - or whether the Magpies remain in the market for another front man in this transfer window.

Talk of a possible loan move for 30 year-old Keane had first surfaced earlier in the week, with Chris Hughton telling reporters on Friday morning that:

"His name has been mentioned and that is what we would expect at this stage. We are close to the end of the transfer window. He is, though, a player who I know very well. There is an association there and a connection."

Unconfirmed reports then circulated that Keane was in the region for a medical, although this now looks to have been wide of the mark. Nonetheless, an offer was made to him.
