we are one of the smallest nations in Europe and football is no longer the only thing young people do so our native talent has dwindled too. What do you expect? The football is ugly but 2 UEFA appearances in the last 7 years says its more effective than its given credit for.

Whos point ? If you are talking about Gunts point,i never said it didnt stand.

    It is brutal.
I do not care how you want to try and shine it up,but the standard of football is terrible.

And yes i agree,in the past,Scottish Football punched above its weight.

But i am just saying, football in Scotland is terrible to watch.

Correct Gunt mate - as I said it's became fashionable to say how bad it is, it's too often compared with the Premier League and even La Liga when it shouldn't be.

Before SKy came you only would get the odd English match shown live and otherwise it was short highlights after the Scottish highlights. So, you really didnt see that much English football. Problem is since SKY everyone watches tons of EPL football and thinks we should be able to match it. We are the size or Norway, Ireland and a bit smaller than Switzerland etc. I think some sense of reality that we are a Scottish team in a tiny country needs to hit home. We also need to accept some of the blame for the weakening of the Scottish game. In the early 80s the difference in our crowd size and say Aberdeen, Dundee United etc was far less marked and also less fans had been sucked into OF support over their local teams. There was once pretty few OF supporters on the east coast of Scotland but that has changed since around the end of the 80s. That success has ruined the league.

How many teams in Norway, Ireland and Switzerland have 50,000 season tickets?

No matter how weak our league is, we have a duty to the people who put hard earned cash into the club, and it's not a club short of a bob or two.

Whither we think the league is poor or not it's all we have got, no point complaining about the air when there's nothing else to breathe :icon_mrgreen:

i think players have there heed up there * and ones who are happy to play in england, every year never to play in a final of a cup, dose that help there cause
when there are 5 top teams in england winning every thing, and all the rest of them happy with there lot, we meet them plenty of times the Qprs the spurs the forests, the city's and each year we hammer them, but our pack of media jokers up here don't make anything of it, but i can always remember the headlines when we loose a friendly , yes trampled all over there words, and on our win fielded a second team,
