oh the joys of standing -
Johnstone,Lennox testimonial, they flung there boats into the crowd they were then carried up through the jungle like in a rock concert above everyone, went right to the back and down to the front again and put back onto the pitch

the rapid vienna game (cheatin` *) still fresh in my mind today, was only 15 then what a night ah didnae drink then so it wiznae me.
my first hun game big roddy mcdonald scored fae a corner what a feelin` celtic 1 hun * 0.
i`m proud and glad to say i was in that old tin shed and have a shitload of brilliant memories.i feel sorry for the younger bhoys and ghirls, the ones that will only recall the new celtic park.at least you can still see and hear it on video.

I only ever went to 2 games at the old Parkhead cos of my age but i never stood in the jungle, ah what a pity

Was in the jungle for the Celtic v Liverpool hillsborough benefit game. Was a very emotional atmosphere that night.Only downside was that ball boys were going round with buckets collecting cash and people were lobbing coins left right and centre onto the track but occasionaly not making the target and i think a few people left parkhead that night wi sore heads.

Can,t remember what game it was , the team where out warming up and this police woman was in front of the jungle and all you could here was the fans singing GET YOUR * OUT FOR THE BOYS and this poor lassie, you could practically feel the heat of her face slowly make her way round the ground , and the fans where also singing RAMBO,S GOT A HARD ON and if i can remember im sure rambo showed his *, if someone remembers that could you confirm that part, The jungle was brilliant. :50:

BEST.... beating sporting lisbon 5-0... packed like sardines
WORST..... the sack the board times or the half arsed attempt at seating the jungle.
FUNNIEST...... a female copper getting flattened by cascarino.
SADDEST....... first game after johnny doyle died.
hillsborough tribute game.
the jungles last stand game when we knew it was getting
flattened. -

Was in the jungle that night also ,about 15 also, found one of those old Celtic scarves.
My favorite games in the jungle where when we beat Rangers twice in a week, ahh nothing beats standing at a game.:50: -
1, nearly every rangers win
2, 88 the day we won the league against dundee, i ran on the pitch, we got booed off and got home to see ontv me on the pitch in my blue and white bomber
3, real madrid game 2-0 with lauwrie cunningham playing for madrid
4, the sporting Lisbon game, 5-0 what a game we had that night
5, Ajax 2-2 before Charles DE goal won it for us over there
6, and two for the wrong reasons, rapid Vienna and the 5-4 game when dziekanowski scored 4 goals against partisan Belgrade i think it was.
i don't think you could ever get a betteratmosat any ground comparable to the jungle and most memories in there are indelibly imprinted in my brain,
you could lift both legs off the ground and not only be held up but be moved around the terrace one pole to the other.

the real madrid game in 1980 was something special.as soon as you breathed in someone stole your space.the we guy at the front selling pies and macaroon bars. all the wee blue disabled cars parked in front of the rangers end.i used to go to the jungle all the time but eventually grew out of it.in the end we stood at number 10(except when we played the huns of course). i'm actually smiling while i type this.happy days. c'mon the hoops.
