We have cover for that position now at least. Hope he comes back strong for us though next season.

True that. Would happily see him not play again this season if it ensures he's fully fit for the start of the next one

Get a full preseason under his belt along with Sviatchenko and hit the ground running for the qualifiers.

Bad news for the hope of seeing him and Erik gel before the end of the season. But no point rushing him and this coaching staff seem decent at letting injuries heal before rushing a player back.

Look forward to him and Erik getting game time preseason and being solid in the opening few months next season!

Also go to remember, guys only 21.
He's shown a lot already in his short amount of games, some flaws, but that will be worked on and I really think him and Erik are a partnership to build on for the next few years - Tierney and Janko on FB and the backline has a lot of promise.

Chuck Mulgrew and Erik the Viking for me so far. Defence looks more competent since Mulgrew has been slotted in.

Exactly my thoughts. I like the look of Simunovic from what I have seen and Sviatchenko has looked good since his arrival. I think they could well end up forming a really good partnership for us next season.
In the meantime in fairness Mulgrew and Sviatchenko have looked good togther and given how bad we have been in the middle at the back most of the season I think we are better served for the run in keeping them together at the back.

Same. Really looking forward to having Janko back was really good before he got injured and Lustig could do with a rest.

Aye,the tackle that forced him off that night was deliberate in my opinion. Pretty sure their player never even got booked for the challenge either.

We need him not to be another Rafael. Seems to be unlucky with injuries that young. I'm okay with Mulgrew and Sviatchenko though. As long as Boyata and Ambrose are nowhere near the pitch I'm happy.

Well, guess we will have to wait until next season to see him develop. Real shame

He was called up for National under 21's.
Ronny said in 1 press conference I watched "Pointless, he isn't going anywhere"
Anyone see that or am I on acid again?

Yeah I think we're all thinking that really.

Whatever the case, I'm looking forward to seeing him and Erik at the back.
