Yeah the accounts dont lie. Those inflated figures are either leaked to the media or they simply make them up.

Does it actually break the figures down? I seen investment in football personnel at 6.1m and reckoned it unlikely we spent half of this on him alone. It's possible but I doubt it.

Also on another topic see how we now are spending less than half of player sales of investment in football personnel and people dont even bat an eye.

 

People don't even bat an eyelid? You mental? There's been plenty of threads discussing what we spend on players!

 

The club tend to talk in overall spend when talking of what a player cost including his wages for the duration of the contract. A lot of clubs pay up transfer fee over a period of time an example was when Hutton went to Spurs their cans were asking why the money wasn't spent on new players but they never new they cost was spread over 2 seasons.

I think they are the future for us in the middle at the back and on the basis of what I have seen from both so far this season if they gel together they could form a very decent partenership there for us. However in the short term for the run in this season I would keep Mulgrew in there alongside Sviatchenko. They have looked good and now is not the time to change.
