    Probably better to sign players like that than ones who see Celtic as the pinnacle of their careers though like Scott Allan probably has no ambition to play in the EPL as he knows he'd never cut it. Better to have someone like Johansen who does and thinks he can play there.

    I'd rather have two years out of a player deemed good enough to win a decent move to England than four years of mediocrity.

    Obviously I'd rather keep a team of good players together but its a sad indicator of the situation we find ourselves in that its not feasible.

    Scott Allan could play in the English Premiership no problems at all. There are poorer midfielders playing there just now.

    Also, we sign players that are better than our current players or have the potential to be. Their own personal goals for their career will be so low on our list of priorities we won't give a flying * if they want to play down South eventually.
