    Really if there were any justice, it should be a 2-game UEFA ban rather than an SFA one, so we got away with one there I think.

    Because a friendly outside of Scotland against a club not registered with the SFA should not come under their jurisdiction IMO. Surely the obvious body would be UEFA. You don't think so?

    No. Neither the SFA nor UEFA administered the game.

    The ban, if one is to be imposed, should apply to the next two games for which he is available for selection, regardless of the competition, I think.

    Each football association have their own rules regarding bans for red cards, multiple yellow cards building up, duration of bans for differing types of red cards etc etc....


    So, what rules are they following here? Is this an international friendly association rule book? Is it the Swiss rules? Is it the Scottish? Uefa? Did the two clubs draw up a contract of rules before the match?

    Seems madness.
    Why isn't it a next two game ban? Why isn't it the next two international friendlies(the 'competition' it was played in as such), why is it not a Swiss match ban? Why are the sfa taking direction from the Swiss for this?
    If it's an international rule/understanding, why aren't uefa running it? Why isn't it a ban in the qualifiers?

    Seems absolute madness to push that through.

    No debating the red card in itself of course, just how the * do they deem it to be for two Scottish League games when it was not a Scottish association match! So much so we actually played gutman who legally can't play in domestic games, that's how unrelated to the domestic league this game was.

    LILLE are set to launch a £5million bid for Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic.

    SunSport understands the French side have already made contact with the Hoops.

    Celtic boss Neil Lennon wants to keep the 24-year-old after his impressive recent form.

    But Lillie are expected to ramp up their interest in Simunovic in the coming days.

    The Croatian joined Celtic for £4million from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2015.

    Simunovic has been a regular under Ronny Deila, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon.

    But Ligue 1 Lille hope they can convince Celtic to do business before the end of the transfer window.
