Jozo Simunovic

Well our defence in general has been a * joke this season. We're lucky that the calibre of strikers in our league are at the level they are. Aye I mean one serious individual horror show for as long as he's been at Celtic. He's had some bad moments and dodgy bits of play. Brendan doesn't seem to fancy Simunovic much, for me I would have Jozo in with a more experienced CB (Compper) hopefully.

I'd still like to see us sign another CB in this window. Ajer is looking good but he needs a good communicator and leader to help him through. To me that is what we lack, Craig Gordon is a part of that problem as well. His decision making is * mental. He did make some great saves again yesterday to be fair.

 

Aye I agree with a lot of what you say there. Gordon can spread panic, especially in Europe..

Hopefully Compper will be good for both Ajer and Simunovic you forget is only 23.

BR has openly criticised the amount he’s been available, which alludes to an attitude issue rather than genuine injury issues. However this could be to cover for BRs failure to strengthen that position properly in the summer and he’s making Simunovic a bit of a scapegoat.

In any case I hope he knuckles down and starts showing the class we know he possesses.

 

Couple of dodgy passes yesterday but nothing costly. Bossed it otherwise.

No. I remember Ronny Deila claimed he would be better. Has never been convincing. Gives me the fear far far more than any other CB at the club. We need to sort our CB once and for all. Compper hopefully is the answer but we still need one more in the summer as Boyata and Jozo are not good enough and Ajer and Hendry are not ready week in week out.

 

If compers a big solid * ajers ready to step in. Thats how KT has got so good. A new right back and hopefully comper makes us solid. Id be more than happy with ajer and letting him develop.

Hopefully Ajer keeps pushing on and improving, I'm totally convinced Simunovic is not good enough to be a regular CB for us now. I'd have Boyata over him every time, and I don't think Boyata is fantastic either.
